I saw an artice on the BBC commenting on how to fall into the traps when naming a child. By far the funniest advice from it was to think about roll call at school and how the name would sound back to front. For example Ted Farr doesn't sound so great when it's inverted - definitely not one for the armed forces.

I just thank my parents for thinking hard about my name. They even realised that giving me a middle name beginning with A wouldn't be so great with the initials CAR!

Fish and chips does have kind of a ring to it though...

Thats nothing. Where I used to work we had a pair of twin girls come in who were called 'Coco' and 'Chanel'...... My Mam works at a dentist and has a little old lady who comes in and she's called Omega, and then there's a kid called Moondance!! My auntie also heard someone shouting for their little boy once.... Poor kid was called 'Quiche'!!

We have a little collection of unusual names!!
