Does anyone know who can use the BVC pool. I read that any guest from the Yacht Club or BC might be able to. I hope not! The BWV are set up differently. The BW Inn is quite small and therefore doesn't have a hugh impact on the villa side. However the BC villas are small in comparison to the Yacht and Beach Club. Does anyone know????? I think it should be only for those staying at the BVC. What are your thoughts on this? Also are DVCer's allowed to use the BVC pool? Our guide told us that SAB will be restricted soon to DVCers? Does this also apply to the BVC pool?

The Yacht and Beach Clubs both have quiet pools on each side, in addition to Stormalong Bay in the middle. I don't think there would be alot of people wanting to go over to the BCV quiet pool instead.

My concern is it is a new pool and people may want to use it. Does anyone know what the rules will be concerning this pool?

As previously stated the BCV pool will be a quiet pool and quite a walk from the YC. I don't really see any motivation for anyone to walk over to use it- it is nothing special- just another quiet pool (of which there are 2 others already). The issue is SAB which will be available to BCV owners at all times. No official word on pool hopping for other DVC members, currently restricted on holidays and peak travel times- have to wait and see if it is further restricted.

I would think that a place to look for an indication of how this will be handled is the WLV. I believe any WL guest can use the quiet pool by the villas.

Great point made aboce, with the new quiet pool by the villas, the BC, YC, and BCV will have a total of 3 quiet pools in addition to SAB.

The issue is SAB which will be available to BCV owners at all times.

Do not assume this to be true. Official DVC policy is that you have access to your home resort's pool only when you are staying at your home resort on points. If you are staying at a different resort on points, swimming at your home resort is considered pool hopping and is subject to pool hopping rules and limitations. And if you are not staying on points (cash vacation), you are not allowed to pool hop at all.

So if you own BCV but stay at VWL and pool hopping is restricted at SAB, you can not swim there even though you own at BC.

There have been many posts and discussions here in the past regarding the fairness of this situation. Now, with a wave of new owners, the pool hopping debate will rear its ugly head once more.

Mike, You are correct, I didn't clarify that BCV owners must be staying at BCV to be able to use SAB. Good point!

Our salesman has indicated that the SAB issue is already been decided but not yet announced. It makes good sense to me. I expect they will make the announcement when we get closer to the BVC opening.

I hope pool hopping remains for that other resorts, but it does make sense that pool hopping at SAB will be restricted and that only YC, BC and BCV guests will be able to use the SAB pool. The capacity of the pool probably wouldn't allow any other approach. I'm glad thay will also be including an additional quet pool for the BC villas.

However, I still hope that DVC owners can use pool hopping at the Contemporary, Poly, GF, BW and other places as a way to visit and enjoy the resorts.
