In PA, all bottled liquor is sold by the state, specifically the PA Liquor Control Board. A terribly archaic system, IMO. No competetion creates higher prices than surrounding states. And, a very limited selection.
Is it like that anywhere else?

Growing up CA, I was use to buying alcohol anywhere, as long as it was before 2am.
stores (the packie) here. Convenience stores can sell beer and wine. I spent a lot of time in PA when I was younger. The bottle shop always cracked me up. You could only buy about two six packs at a time, but you could do it over and over.
