who booked their summer vaca getaways?

This year Im thinking of saving money (and paying off DVC) instead of getting away over the winter/spring. Just bought a new 27" tv and DH just bought vcr/dvd combo so maybe that can keep me home? DH gave me $50 Blockbuster cert for Christmas.

When can I book our summer vaca getaways? 2 in NH, 2 in ME
Thinking of waiting till beginning of Feb, after some of the Christmas bills are paid off. Think I can wait that long?

We always rent a house for a week in July in the Outer Bamks of North Carolina. The first half of the rental was due and paid in November.

The room portion of my summer vacation is booked, but the DCL part is still in the works.

I have two planned trips this summer and a family vacation. No dates for any of them waiting to see what the other people I want to go with are doing..... Soon I hope!!!

We are already thinking about summer vacations. I would think you could book any time..??

We want to go up to the white mountains for a week or so and then spend a few days down in RI/CT. Right now we are trying to figure out how to spread them out.

AND...we are also thinking about a trip to WDW as soon as the kids get out of school (around 6/15 or so) Not too sure about that one just yet. Right now it sounds real good, but with the $$$ we would spend on it we could do many more things up here. If we don't go in June we will be back in November, but at this point it seems soooooo far away!

Our plan is to take a Spring vacation to DisneyWorld, but this will probably be a last minute decision. It all depends on my Mom's health, I just can't bring myself to go if she isn't a lot better when we leave. I would love for my Mom and Dad to go, but they never go on vacations.

I think we are going to do Spring break on the ocean here in Washington state... Kalaloch on the Olympic coast. Plan to rent a cabin for the week so we can stay warm and dry (it will likely be stormy and rainy at that time of year). Lots of hiking in the rain forest and on the beach. Primitive cabin with no tv or computers.

Summer will likely be a bunch of smaller trips (long weekends). Including a trip to Cedar Point for a Riddlers meet in July!

Besides the trips planned below(countdowns) we are going to San Antonio to visit relatives the last week in June.It is a beautiful city with lots of things to do(RiverWalk,Alamo,etc).
We used FF miles so the airfare is "FREE", and my cousin owns the Comfort Suites(Airport North) in San Antonio , so thats where we are staying for 7 days, so it is a very inexpensive vacation.

Well, It is not a Spring break, but we are going to Idaho in the beginning of February to visit my parents. They just moved out there in October. We are going for a week and a half.
The farthest west I have ever been is Nebraska and I have never seen the mountains so I am excited!

And it will be DD first time flying. Trying to get her ready for a possible trip to WDW in the fall or winter.

We're spending a weekend on Nantucket - that was paid for in October. We can't afford a full vacation, so we'll be relying on day trips and visiting relatives with Cape property.

Most places around here need to be paid by January or forget it.

DS11 and I are going to Japan with his Japanese class. We are leaving June 28, staying for one week. We will have 2 free days. I want to use one of them to see Disneyland Toyko.

We'll be at Hilton Head in July. Best family vacation time we ever spend. Can't wait. This will be our 3rd summer there.

Spring break trip will probably be a college tour with DS #2, but until he makes a short list of colleges he's interested in, I can't plan anything.

We always go to my parents' home in the North Carolina Smokey Mountains for ten days in July, so that's a given, and there's nothing to book or plan.

We are doing an adult only trip in June, with some other couples, to St. John in the Virgin Islands. It will be one of the few week- long vacations we've ever taken without kids. And certainly the most extravagant vacation we've ever taken, cost-wise! I'm already SO looking forward to it!
