I guess we all know the quality of service can make (or break) a restaurant experience. Over the years we've come to "know" several excellent servers at WDW restaurants and we always ask for them when we dine:

Pete, at V&A. Been with the restaurant since it opened and is the Albert all new Victoria's are placed with.

Terry, has been a Victoria at V&A almost from the beginning.

Ron, at Jiko's. Was at Spoodles for some time. An excellent server and knows the wine list front to back.

Steve at Narcoosee's. Been at Narcoosee's for many years.

We have a new one to add to our list...Anthony at Chefs de France. We've also enjoyed the service of Pete and Terry....but not nearly as often as you!

Our favorite and probably the best we've ever had anywhere is Anderson at Flying Fish! He's just a great person.

Uncle Spence at PTC and the waitress we had at 'Ohana's. Can't remember her name, but she was older than a lot of the WDW servers (40 ish?) and under 5 ft tall. She was a blast, and made my 13 DS give her a hug before we left (she had heels on, she bet him she was shorter than him and he lost the bet)

Neil at Restaurantasaurus and Ron at Jiko.

Anne

Wendell at the now-gone Bonfamilles at Port Orleans. He served us a couple of times on our first visit to PO, then recognized us 2 years later. He was the best--I hope he is working at another WDW restaurant.

Neil at Restaurantosaurous is hysterical! We had so much fin with him picking on my friends and I.

My all time favorite server however is Tony T. over at the Coral Reef. He is wonderful with children and picky eaters and will really help tailor a meal to your taste. He knows his menu and will make substitutions if you so desire. I highly recommend him if you are a little nervouse about the experience you might have at Coral Reef.

Sammi at BC character breakfast.
She's been there forever and still has the magic.
She was talking about retiring when we were there
in 2001-anyone know if she's still there?

What a cool thread!

We've had some great servers at WDW.
Nick at the R&C in Dec. 2000. He was so attentive, and friendly. One thing he did was explain what Yorkshire pudd
ing was. He even gave us a hint of how him "mum" used to make it for him.

Oh, I forget the woman we had this past August. She was excellent. She st
ood and talked with us for 10 minutes, showing us where she was f
rom on the map on the menu. It was her 21st birthday.

Bung, at the Coral Reef April, 2000. Great guy, he told us before he accepted the position, he askes how thick the glass was on the aquarium wall.

We have had some very nice servers at CG and AP. Giving us wine selections and pairing. All witty, outgoing, and knowledgable.

Ted

Great idea for a thread! :)

Debbie at Grand Floridian Cafe (for breakfast/lunch)

Andy at Spoodles

Those are the only ones I know by name but I always recall famaliar faces at some spots. Unfortunately, I noticed turnover at the GFC during our last visit. I used to see many, many famaliar faces there.

:)

John Coombs at Portobello Yacht Club, he's been there for years!! Excellent service!!

I guess it would be pointless to post the "server to avoid" as they probably won't last long, will they? I'll list him anyway, as I'm sure he's long gone. Robert from Beaches and Cream. One nasty fella. Also had some guy at Fulton's once ...

We like Alisha at Boma. She always has the boys give "grandma" a hug when she sees them. They call her their 3rd grandma. (We "bonded" with her as we all went through the 9/11 crisis together.)

Halle:
Yikes!! How could I have left out John Combs?? A fine server at Portobello and even has his own website promoting that restaurant.

Nancy and Shawn at V&A are also very good.

This past December, I had Gary at California Grill. He was great, let me taste a variety of different wines before I selected which one I wanted. He set it up like a wine tasting and selected wines he thought I would like from my description of my taste.

MGM 50's Prime Time Cafe

We enjoy seeing Auntie Clare when we go home each year. You never know what to expect from her. She is so great:Pinkbounc
and amusing you can't help but to love her. Going home in 20 days can't wait to see her.

Sandy & Ed

I would like to add Linda at the Cape May Cafe! She has been one of our Favorites for years ! Also Neil at the Restaurantosauros, we have known him since he was at Mama Melroses(years AGO!)Once I "LOST" my hubby after breakfast and Neil and a friend came out of the restaurant to help find him! IT was SOFUNNY!! Joan

Deb at the Kona Cafe. She really made our meal special. She has relatives in NJ, and we spent some time talking about home. There is also a Debbie at Narcoossee's who has family in Toms River, NJ. She really made us feel at home. Denise at Le Cellier is also excellent, we have requested her last year after a very pleasant dining experience two years ago.

Joy at Trail's End in Fort Wilderness. We had her twice when we were there in Aug. She even had the chef make up a dessert that was not on the buffet.
