Who are your favorite servers?

We loved Cousin Chris at PrimeTime 50's. He really added to the meal. One of my dd's favorite memories of our trip!!!!

Three servers stand out in my mind:
Bill at California Grill....excellent service. One of the best servers we have ever had. Anywhere. Brought us a few wines to try before choosing a bottle. Never rushed. Always available.
Matzi at Brown Derby AND Palio at the Swan. Professional and personable.
Cindy at Cape May Cafe. She has been there since it opened and she's very friendly and alot of fun.

Debbie

I've got to mention a server we had named Steve at AP last June. He was the bright spot in our trip to WL.

I am not 100% positive, but I think her name is Cynthia at Chef Mickey's. We actually have had her twice for my son's BD breakfast.

Also Neil at the Restaurantosauros, we have known him since he was at Mama Melroses(years AGO!)Once I "LOST" my hubby after breakfast and Neil and a friend came out of the restaurant to help find him! IT was SOFUNNY!! Joan

That was a long time ago, wasn't it? I'll have to email him the link for this thread--I bet he'll get a kick out of it LOL!

Anne, Yes it was along time ago! I guess I am showing my age! I do not know if he will remeber my hubby by name (JIM) but we are from RI and Neil ALWAYS recognizes my hubby when he sees him!! We will be in WDW 2/12-22,and will try to get over to the AK and see Neil. Joan

Does anyone remember Michael at GFC. He was great. He also taught new CMs at their training school.

We also enjoyed a server at Kona's who was there for years...but I can't remember his name! He was from NJ.

Any of the servers at V and A's......have never had a bad one.

Flower13, I agree with you about Gary at California Grill. We always ask for him.

The bartenders at California Grill are also very nice.

Pok (pronounced "poke") at Artist Point......what a sweetie.

And M.T. at the Whispering Canyon Cafe.
If you know what goes on at this place, you won't be surprised that she playfully picks on someone at each table.
I overheard one older man ask her, "What's the M.T. stand for?"
Without hesitation, she bellowed, "MORE TROUBLE, Y'WANT SOME?! "

I know that's not everyone's cup of tea, but she had me roaring.

My vote goes to Gustavo at Cinderella's Royal Table.
He was such a riot!

Suzanne, from Whispering Canyon Cafe! And I know you read these boards, Suzanne, so if you see this, I wanted to tell you that we're coming back to the World at the end of March, and will be eating at WCC on our 7th wedding Anniversary on March 28th. Hoping you will be able to serve us that evening, and join in our celebration! :Pinkbounc

Lisa at Restaurantasarus. She is great with a very bubbly personality. We ask for her every time.

this is my happy O'hana story...after dinner, we took a ride on the monorail. About halfway through the loop, DH and I realized we had lost DS's blanket. For those of you who have a child with a blanket, you will know this is a major deal. So, we're in a near panic, and can't remember when we last had it. We go back to the Polynesian and checked in the lounge, no blanket. Then we checked at the PS desk, no blanket, and he had just taken everything down to lost and found, but didn't see it.

By this time the restaurant is closing, everyone is cleaning up and we don't know what we are going to do. Just then another server (not ours) came up and asked us if we were looking for a blanket. We said yes. Our server came out and told us that she had found it at our table, and some servers wanted to send it down to lost and found. She told them it wasn't a jacket, you couldn't just send it to lost and found. It was a special blanket. She folded it up and left it on DS's chair because she knew he would be back. Is that awesome or what?

Unfortunately, I forgot to write down her name and was never able to send her a thank you note. Like I said, she was the best server we ever had!

I know that she normally serves breakfast at Spoodles. She is probably in late 30's or early 40's. Medium height, slightly heavy, reddish hair...anyone have any idea who this might be? If you do, please let me know....

I believe you are talking about Carrie Matlack. I know she works b'fast at Spoodles and picks up shifts at Ohanas. I used to work with her husband.

Suzannews:

Thank you so much. I think you are right. Carrie sounds like the right name. She was a great server. Now I can send her a long overdue thank-you note and one to WDW about what a fantastic cast member they have.

Cate at Olivias - great service, very accommodating and extremely friendly.

Doris at Plaza Restaurant - she has been there since we've starting going to the Plaza. I will stop dining there if she ever retires.

Ahhh, that is so sweet about the blanket!!!

Great guy, he told us before he accepted the position, he askes how thick the glass was on the aquarium wall.
HAHAHAHA how cute....I would probably ask the same thing. LOL

We like dominic at Olivia's Cafe he remembers us whenever we come in and has special deserts mad up. We always try to go at least once. Barb

Jan at Garden Grill. We were there for dinner Friday. Although she has worked at WDW for many years, this was day 4 for her at the GG. She had a wonderful smile, great attitude. She took it upon herself to point out the moving floor to ds4, and gave him a demonstration so he could see how it was moving. He hadn't even noticed but she made sure he got to see that special something. As she left the table, ds asked why she was so nice to him? :D

Shirley at Gulliver's/Garden Grove at the Swan. It's like having your Great Aunt greet you at every meal. She rarely forgets a face, keeps a packet of stickers to give kids who eat well or show good manners and remembers exactly how you take your coffee etc. from day-to-day. Once my DD lost her 'first' Disney pin - only a tiny Minnie pin but no longer available when she lost it. We went right back and searched but couldn't find it. Shirley found a CM who had one on their lanyard and got it for our DD. I don't know who was more excited when we returned the next morning for breakfast .... my DD for getting the pin or Shirley for giving it to her!!!
