we are staying on Disney property and want to rent a van just for one day in October - other then Alamo who is coming in at $105 for a mini van for one day who else is on or easily accessable to Disney property that I can check?

I also have a 6.5yo that in Ontario is still required to be in a booster seat in the car .... am I better to bring his own from home (which would fit in a suitcase as it's just the seat part) or can you rent booster seats? and what kind of condition are they usually in?

I just got back from Disney today, and I rented from Dollar, I did not stay on site though and had my rental the entire time I had a Dodge Durango SUV for 9 days at $293

My point is this check allears.com or just google orlando rental car codes and you can get some great codes and get the quotes online try all of the codes until you get one that is decent. It takes some time but its worth playing with.

I put in my code and then checked back a week later and the same rental for the same amount of time was $675, so the codes expire, but as long as you set up a reservation and get a confirmation number your price is locked in.

They do rent booster seats and by regulations and laws they are in good condition, save the room in your suitcase for extra souviners

PS IT IS COLD AND RAINY HERE AT HOME AND I WANT TO GO BACK TO FLORIDA NOW :sad2: ONLY BEEN BACK 12HRS :guilty:

If you want to stay onsite, your only other option would be National out of the Car Care Center or Dolphin Resort. Avis is at the Hilton by DTD and I believe there is also another company at the Doubletree....

As far as booster seats go, I would suggest bringing your own, as many of the smaller locations do not regularly have them in stock. Also, they charge pretty high rates ($10 per day)....

forgot to mention that I have a 6.5 yr old too. January 14th this was a great age to bring him we had a ball.

Budget has a rental location at the Doubletree hotel in Downtown Disney. They offer a Ford Freestar Minivan for $75 a day with the code W852802. With all taxes it comes to $90. Take a Disney Bus to DTD and walk about 1/4 to the Doubletree.

Go to Orbitz and click on rental cars. Enter in the street address for your resort hotel and select 'Address' - there are a bunch of rental places on and around disney property. I have a rental for Dec 17-28 from a Hertz on Irlo Bronson for $260. They (and I would assume the others) will come and get you and bring you back when you return the car.

Good Luck!!!

I was going to suggest trying Priceline. I used them here in Milwaukee for a car to pickup the night before we leave and drop off (instead of waking family up at 5AM to drive us to the airport or leaving our newish car on the lot for 11 days). I offered $25 thinking it wouldn't get accepted and it did! I wish I would have started out lower! Though total came to around $38...so that isn't too bad, and that is the price for a full 24-hrs even though we will have it less than 14hrs. Priceline also gives you the option of looking at lots on Disney property - just click "in or near the city" and put in Lake Buena Vista.

I just did it for one day in October (just to see) and it gave a price of $78/total with National for a minivan...might want to check that out...but you can still try the option of naming your own price to see if you can get it lower.

Good luck! HTH!

Thanks for all the suggestions - I'll check them out later tonight!
