Who and how to contact about magic bands for upcoming trip?

How do I contact Disney about requesting a second set of bands for a split stay? I customized the bands per my family's requests for our second resort . The resort we are staying at first just came through via DVC waitlist and I just picked random colors for that stay, figuring it would be nice to have two. They sent just those and none are the colors people wanted :(

Are you now wanting a "third" set of MBs?
 
I would not expect Disney to send new ones if the issue was me not picking the right colors. You’ve got a couple options:

1. Purchase the colors you want
2. Use the second set of bands for both stays
3. Use both sets of bands interchangeably

I wouldn’t even bother asking if your randomly selected colors didn’t match your family’s desires. That’s not Disney’s issue.

Also, apologies if you know this, but you don’t need a new set of bands for every stay. As long as the band is linked to your account online, it will work as a key to access your profile.
 
Agreed with others- if you chose random colors and those are what was sent, it’s not on Disney to fix this. Either use what was sent, use the first set of bands for the whole stay, switch bands with each other, or purchase the colors you want. You have plenty of options.

Are you sure the second set isn’t on it’s way?
 
So if I’m reading this correctly you have a split stay and customized the bands for the second stay but randomly selected bands for the first stay, correct? If so the real question is will disney ship out the second set of bands or just the first set and will the come in separate shipments. I honestly can’t remember when he had our split stay how that worked. I know I was able to get two sets of magic bands (and I customized each set the way we wanted it but I would have been upset if the special edition Star Wars bands hadn’t shown...). Anyway, maybe wait a few days and see what is going on, have you checked your MDE account to see if it still says you have magic bands on the way? Since it is a split stay unless they have changed and you now only get one set of MB I would ask them about it...

For all of our split stays our magic bands arrived in separate shipments, usually a few days apart.
 
Op here. This is a lot of detail but what happened was we were originally staying at ASMu for the first half of our stay. while wait listed for a room at the BC through DVC. Our second resort has always been Copper Creek and I knew we werent going to change that so I customized the bands to my families requests there. THEN, our waitlist for BC came through and thats when I chose the random colors thinking we were getting the ones for Copper Creek.

THEN, our waitlist for BC came through and thats when I chose the random colors thinking we were getting the ones for Copper Creek.

You will eventually get the ones for Copper Creek and they will work for your entire stay at both BC and CCV.
 
This is not cataclysmic. You ordered something. You got it. This is not Disney's to fix. You have several options of how to move forward, but to think that Disney will solve a mis-judgement on your part is not reasonable.

You may want to modify the original post to cut down on the massively unhelpful replies because between asking about requesting additional bands and you explaining the first set of bands is randomly selected the crux of the issue is muddied... I’d edit the first post to something like:

I have a split stay and we just got our magic bands in today but we only got the first set in. Should they have all been sent together or will we be getting the second set in a separate package?

Or have a moderator shut the thread down since you already have your answer - which is they come in separate packages and to wait a few more days and then the set you want will come...

If that is the case then its not Disney's problem and I wouldn't be requesting any more magic bands.

You really don't need more than 1 magic band per person anyways but I always say if you're paying for it in the price of the resort stay then you might as well take what you can get.

No read the whole thread she is confused because she only received the first set and didn’t realize that the second set would be mailed separately... essentially she got the first set and thought disney messed up and didn’t send the second set not realizing she just needed to wait for a second shipment :) she is not trying to get a third set just the 2 that is part of her split stay...

I’m sorry but this hasn’t clarified anything for me. I’m definitely not reading what Tink is reading here.

Did you go back in and change the bands for the one you’d done? If so, go customize for the other stay. Have you customized for two separate resorts yet? If not, do that.

I had two stays recently. Both were listed in the band section. I could easily tell which one was which when I was choosing bands. I would have known if I was changing the bands for my AKV stay vs my BEV stay.

If you only see one resort stay on the band page, make sure your other stay is linked to MDE. Once it’s linked it should show up. Once it shows up you might still have time to customize and likely have the bands picked up at the resort depending on when your trip is.

If you’ve linked it but it’s not showing up, call Disney for help.

I am reading it totally different than you. She has two sets and isn't happy with the random color magicbands she selected so wants Disney to send a third set in colors of her choice.

From this post I take this to mean that the OP has customized the bands for her 2nd half of her split stay (cooper creek). Then she got in ONLY one set up bands - those from BC, and got confused thinking that for some reason the set she did take the time to customize is not going to come... Regardless, this is what I'm taking it to mean and if this is the case the OP will be getting the second set of bands shortly and they will be customized properly. I believe the confusion comes because it seems that these are sent out in two separate shipments (so she gets the shipment for the first stay and doesn't see the other bands she is expecting and gets concerned and posts here)...

to another person posting that she wanted 3 sets... which is again why I think she got set 1 in and didn't realize it was 2 shipments...

Now I could, of course, be reading this incorrectly but I at least wanted to explain why I was thinking what I was thinking...

OP - Check your MDE to see if the Magicbands that you customized are still pending shipment. That should clear it up for you, as others have said. Good luck!
