Monty Dog, (if you do a search for Monty Dog on these boards you'll see many of his adventures) is 100% JRT.
He is a spaz but he is also a cuddlebug. He is 15 months old and he is our baby. He is afraid of small animals. If someone had actually bought him as a hunting dog, they'd probably have returned him as defective. He is very inquisitive and he loves going to new places and meeting new people. We take him everywhere. He has thus far been to numerous shops and resteraunts, gone on a schooner cruise, been on an old time railroad, taken the Boston Subway, been on a horse and buggy ride, and one of these days, we are even taking him in a hot air baloon.
He LOVES riding in the car, going to visit my parents, going to cookouts, playing with his puppy friends, visiting the doggie resort when we go on people only trips, going to the groomers, going to the vets, going to the pet supply store and anywhere you could think of. He leads a very full life.
He is very smart, he's actually quite well behaved and was very easy to train. The only problem we are having training him is getting him not to "steal" things.
We're working on it. We have learned that he is terrified of being squirted with water. I hate using negative reinforcment like that but that is the only thing that has worked thus far to get him not to steal our stuff.
He can jump about 4 feet in the air and manuever through obstacle courses with the grace of a ballerina (except when he forgets that he can't just stop short after running 60 mph!)
He is the best dog I have ever had.

I would not trade the Monty Dog for the world.
