Our flight was 12:20 on a Saturday (Sat, Sun. may make a difference) we were late seating, had sit down breakfast, got on DCLs bus and were sitting IN atas terminal by 10:20........early saeting, and first off with no immagration problems you could make it.....but DCL reccomends not before non.

We made an 11:30 flight with two hours to spare...

We just went to Topsiders for breakfast, grabbed something quick, and were off the ship, through immigration, and in the parking lot by 8:15AM. We had a car pick us up and were at the airport by 9:30AM.

It seemed like it took forever to check in with Southwest, but we were still at our gate by 10:00AM.

Of course, even the best laid plans can go awry if the weather is wonky or there's a problem with immigration, but hopefully that doesn't happen very often. :goodvibes

We've made 11:30 flights a couple of times with at least an hour to spare. If you are flying one of the Airlines where you can check your bags at the port it helps as all you have to worry about at the airport is security (which can take a while mid-day).

Last time we went we had a 6pm flight. Got to the Airport and were able to change the time to a 10:30 flight. Even with that, I wouldn't risk booking a flight before noon.

Saturdays seem to be A LOT less crowded.....we've flown out both and Sunday WAS a nightmare.......The last Saturday was the Sat. after Thanksgiving and wasn't bad.

We had one cruise where we had a 12:30 flight. We arrived at the airport and were able to change it to a 9:30 am! The official policy is not to book one before noon, but.....

We've cruised on DCL 12 times. The official thing is that they ask all guests to be off the ship by 9 am so that they can get ready for the next cruise. Most of the time, this all goes without a hitch. However.....on one cruise, the big doors didn't open until nearly 10. I don't have a clue what happened, but once the ship enters the port, it is under the control of US Customs, and no one gets off until they give the OK. DCL, for their part, did bring out the entertainment staff as well as the club/lab staff to keep us all busy and entertained while we waited.

We usually do late seating. We've been off as early as 8:30 ish, and as late as 10. With early seating, you can be finished with breakfast and off the ship as soon as the doors open. With late, you can do the sit down breakfast (we always do) and still be off before 9 MOST of the time!

We made a 10:30am flight this past January. It was only DH and I, so we kept our luggage with us instead of handing it off on our final night. We grabbed a quick breakfast and we were off the ship by 7:45am. Southern Elegance picked us up promptly at 8am and we were sitting at our airlines gate by 9:05am.

We made a Saturday 11:20 a.m. flight. The longest wait was in the security line, approximately 20 mins. We had plenty of time; about 50 minutes to spare before boarding time.
