whitening yellowed fiberglass tub/shower????

Our DD and DSIL bought a 5 year old house and the previous owners were alittle less than...shall we say handy. Our DD is very savvy with cleaning but she is stumped on how to get this particular tub up to her standards. What have any of you used that took care of this problem? TIA!

I found this tip on two seperate web sites. Might be worth a try!

To remove discoloration from a yellowed bathtub, rub the tub with a solution of salt and turpentine. Rinse well. Caution: Wear rubber gloves when you work with this solution

Have you tried a magic eraser? It has gotten our fridge back to white.
