Whitehall Chicago

Has anyone stayed here on points (or not on points)? We are planning to go to Chicago for a weekend this fall and wondered if it is truly worth the stay.
Any thoughts or opinions?

I stayed on points. The hotel is beautiful, they are also very accomodating.

Hello. I just stayed there July 4th and it was wonderful! Rooms were nice, bedding was wonderful. The location was really good. It is right across from the Bloomingdales building, less than a block for Michgan. I will definitely use points there again.Have fun!

I live in a Chicago suburb and would be glad to offer some advice.

How many DVC points are you talking about? Often you can get some REALLY good deals on Chicago hotels via Hotwire/Priceline.

Depends on what conventions are in town, etc.

Whitehall is nice, but so are all the 3.5-4.5 star hotels here.

I try to get top value for my DVC points and I think the Whitehall might be an extravagant use of them.

Stayed here on points a few years ago because if I didn't use them I would have lost them. Room was small, it is a boutique hotel, location is by Water Tower so it's close to Michigan Ave. I would check out priceline unless you absolutely have to use points.
