White Water Snacks

I am thinking about eating at White Water snacks when I am at DL in February. Has anyone eaten there? What do you think of it? Was there a particular dish that you really enjoyed or didn't enjoy?

we LOVE Whitewater snacks.. It's usually pretty quiet and relaxing in there and a great place to have lunch or a snack. There is an outdoor eating area as well indoor seating.

They offer a variety of sandwiches, burgers and salads. My favorite is the egg salad sandwich. My kids have had most everything on the menu and haven't complained that they didn't like thier food (but they aren't picky eaters) My youngest DS usually gets the kids lunch with an uncrustable, apples and a juicebox..

Whitewater Snacks is awesome. It's never busy and its nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of the parks. You can sit outside and watch the people walk by in DCA (even though the view is obscured by a fence and trees )

I always get the nachos. They are the best nachos I have had anywhere. Large portions, and delicious toppings. The chips are fresh too.

Next time I want to try the egg salad sandwich though - its been so long since I've had that!

I think I remember hearing about the nachos before...that might be what I get! It sounds yummy...do you know what time they close?

Closing time varies. Sometimes as early as 7pm, and open until 10pm during the busiest times.

We Whitewater Snacks. It's good, fast, plenty of seating, and food arrives HOT and FRESH (the hot stuff is made to order, so it's always good!).

Love the grilled chicken sandwich!!! Nachos are awesome too. You can get 1/2 chicken, 1/2 steak.

We ate there a couple times and thought it was pretty good. Wasnt too fond of the french dip (meat was fatty, no flavor) but the breakfast burrito was delicious.

They have both cheese sauce and some shredded cheese and are about the most delectable thing ever. Not only are the beef nachos a must have on every trip, but I have also figured out how to make a pretty passable rendition at home and we make them for dinner at least once a month!

We also love White Water Snacks! We usually go there for breakfast. I always get the french toast sticks, which usually come with a few grapes and/or strawberries. DH and my parents have also tried the buttermilk biscuit sandwich as well as the breakfast burrito. DH and my dad usually get the breakfast burrito. Once we went for dinner and I got the personal pizza. It was the perfect size and very good!
It is a great place to go for a quick, relaxing meal. Plus the prices for the portions you get are great!

This is too weird!! I used to have a dog named Daisy, and our cat's nickname is Miss Kitty, LOL! I am going to have to make it a point to meet with her!

Have the sodas always been refillable? We have eaten there probably a dozen times and I did not know this....

Anyplace where the fountains are out in the open and not behind a counter, offer refillable sodas. Places like WWS, Rancho, Pizza Port, French Market etc. offer free refills (although they don't advertise it). I have never had a problem getting a refill at any of these places.

I travel with a service dog. Last time we went to WWS, we sat outside, and Misss Daisy Kitty sat about where that picture was taken, and my dog was about 3 feet away. They stared at eachother for about 20 minutes! I don't think either of them knew what to do with the other!
