I just found out that my next door neighbor is having a baby in February. We live in a condo with very thin walls. Usually if we run a fan we can drown out some of the noise from their bedroom, but I don't know if that would work for a baby crying. So I was wondering about a white noise machine and if anyone would think that would work. And if so, if anyone could suggest a brand/model.

If a fan won't cut it, I don't think a white noise machine will either, unless you turn the volume up really loud.

Yep, this one is the best. The Marpac SleepMate is the original white noise machine. It has a pure white noise and no other sounds like the ocean or chirping birds. You can also purchase it from the JC Penney catalog.

At home I usually use my fan but when I travel I take the SleepMate.

Thank you! Will definitely check it out. :thumbsup2
