White house state dinner gate crashers

The issue will likely be that the mispresented themselves. They WERE turned away at the gate, and they persisted, knowing they were not supposed to be there, that it was an invited, exclusive event with tight security (although not tight enough) they were not supposed to be at.

Want to speculate how much money this is costing now to revamp security procedures? Maybe we should present them with a nice, fat bill.

I read something that lying to a federal agent (i.e. secret service) is a crime that is being looked into.

The security expert in an article I read said that a real concern was also biological weapons such as anthrax...the security screenings apparently don't pick those up.

Being that we don't put the president in a bubble I guess that could happen anywhere. To be honest, I think the worst place for the president to go is in the war zones. Sooooo much security is being taken up with making sure the politicians are safe, that I'm afraid that would leave the security lax for our troops.
That being said, experience has shown that the biggest dangers are when our president is out and about in the streets, in the big crowds. I'm thinking Regan, Ford, and Kennedy. At least in the White House they had to go through the metal detector.

Or a thank you note for exposing (albeit unintended) the weaknesses in the President's security forces.

If they broke a law they should face the penelty, but they shouldn't have to pay to revamp security measures, becasue they didn't cause the weaknesses.

It doesn't make me want to laugh even a little bit that my tax dollars will be used to address this kind of idiocy. I'm hoping logic prevails & creative and inspired prosecution w/ a razor's edge precision is headed the way of these two boneheads -- kind of like I wish we had seen in the balloon boy debacle.

They got WAY to much publicity on the news last night, which is of course what they wanted. I hope they get jailed instead and are never heard from again.

Yeah, that.

If their financial records are any indication, they wouldn't pay it anyway. :lmao: They are in serious financial trouble.

If they had crashed the Oscars or Emmys I might find it funny but since 9/11 we have a different mind set. We never know whats going to happen next, take Fort Hood as an example.

Who else thinks this is a publicity stunt?

Definitely a publicity stunt. evidently they did this to get publicity for a reality show.
They are facing possible criminal charges so I hope the reality show was worth it.

I kinda pity them now that more details are coming out. Can't think of much more pathetic than a 44 year old who feels the need to lie about thinks like being a pro cheerleader or Victorias secret model.

I know I'm in the minority, but I thought it was funny. I'm sure it's not the first time it's happened, and probably won't be the last.

Me to....although, someone should be losing their job over it.
