I would never have thought of it as not-allowed. I live in a state where Liquor is sold in ABC stores; grocery stores sell only beer and wine - that includes hard seltzers. Stick it in a soft side cooler and send it through x-ray. It looks like a can of beer.

I’m not trying to skirt rules here; I just don’t think this rule was written with the intent to ban these drinks from being brought onboard. Their popularity has grown over the last few years.

And this from a rare drinker. But yes, I’ll take that complimentary Bellini with my Palo’s brunch. Anytime you are ready to let us sail again.

However, the ABV is only 5%. There are many beers with much higher ABV and they are allowed. I think OP has a good case to bring it.

Could this be considered a "beer"?
