staceyA,

i've seen pictures of the GF tea and it does look great::yes::

*flower*,
where is citrico's? and how was the food:D

thanks eve::MinnieMo

Citrico's is on the same floor as the monorail entrance. Or if you're driving or taking a cab- it would be on the 2nd floor, to the left of the bandstand.

You have to go back a bit to the left and you'd see a circular hostess stand where you'd give your name. The podium is right across from the door to Victoria & Albert's.

The food is fantastic, and they were more than happy to supply me with fresh berries and whipped cream for dessert!! Of course when we went in December with DB and his family- we did the Slipper dessert. The slipper is made of white chocolate (too rich for me) filled with Chantilly cream and topped with fresh raspberries. The dark chocolate boat was filled (for me) with sugar free chocolate mousse. It was lovely, and the chocolate etching of Cinderella's castle was the icing on the cake!! DB thought that it was the design of the plate itself........

*flower*:wave:
thanks for that::yes:: the glass slipper sounds wonderfull can't wait to try it:D i'm also going to try and get the chocolate mickey for my 2 boys as well

thanks again eve::MinnieMo

I called to order the slipper and Mickey and Dominick told me the chocolate Mickey is $50.00.....
I ordered the slipper....but not the Mickey.
Now I'm thinking either I misunderstood or they are real proud of the Mickey...
Anyone have any thoughts?
Thanks,
DS :confused:

What is the Chocolate Mickey?

Is this the white chocolate Mickey statue that stands in the middle of a plate of strawberries?

At the YC, the white chocolate Mickey and 8 tuxedo strawberries are around $50.

Here is the pic on my slipper dessert from our wedding in March. :)

When I called GF a few weeks ago to order my slippers, Reggie told me the chocolate Mickeys were $10.00. I decided against ordering because I know my son and he would not want to eat it but rather keep it. I heard someone else post that they were charged $25.00. Reggie didn't know a lot about the Mickeys and had to check.

I was told last week that the white chocolate Mickey's were $15.00 (that is without the chocolate strawberries). The Cm told me that the $25.00 price quoted to others was with the tuxedo strawberries. Does anybody know how much they really are, since we're all getting different price quotes?

I too, was told yesterday that the chocolate mickey was $50! I'd read from other posts that is was $15 w/o the strawberries, and $25 somewhere else. Very strange:scratchin
Didn't get it!

The Main Mouse-A Disney classic, poured out in solid white chocolate in a six-inch replica of the world's favorite mouse. Mickey is the main event surrounded by chocolate strawberries. $45.99

thats what it says on the Yacht and Beach club in room dining amenitites menue. It is pricey but it is so cute. I bet yummy too

Cast member at 1900 confirmed with me Mickey is $50.00.
He suggested a chocolate treat called "Bones" for a boy.
I'm not sure about the price...but it must be about same as slipper plate.
It is patterened after 101 Dalmations.
Cast member's name is Dominick.
::yes::

I have to say you guys are wonderful! I just ordered the chocolate slippers for our trip in June. After reading this post I immediately called to make PS at Park Faire for my and DH's 15th wedding anniversary. I called back tonight and after being bounced all over Florida and back was finally put in touch with GF and was able to order the slippers for DH, DD and myself. Lots of bouncing but well worth every minute of it! It will be a really nice surprise for DH for our anniversary and as my DD (12) loves anything chocolate she will get a kick out of it. (Now I have to try to keep it a secret until we go...I'm awful at secrets!) Can't wait to see their faces. Thanks again!

how in advance should I order? We are planning DD's second birthday dinner at 1900 Park Fare and will have a party of 12....so I'll need 11 or 12 slippers......but now I am thinking maybe the gentleman would like Mickey's??

We ordered two slippers for our trip last week. I only ordered them a week before our trip. We ordered them for the Grand Floridian Cafe for lunch. We never ordered lunch (and it was a good thing). We just had iced tea and the slippers. They are absolutely delicious and look even more beautiful in person!!!!! Almost too good to eat!

How do you get these at Gasparilla's if it is a food court type of place? Is there a hostess you talk to (assuming you have placed your order 48 hours in advance).

Or would we be better off just trying at the GF Cafe? I'm thinking a Cobb salad with chicken and a slipper desert would be a great break from the Magic Kingdom.

The slippers are awesome!!! Are they only available at the GF? Are they available on the DC?::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo ::MinnieMo

I ordered two of them from the GF last week for our trip over the 4th of July. I just called the GF and asked for the bakery and what I wanted them for and the transferred me. she asked if I was paying for them at dinner and I said yes. I cant wait to see our little princesses when they see these slippers:sunny:

Thanks to all the knowlegdeable people here on the DISboards I was able to order the Cindy's Slippers for myself, my husband, and mother-in-law for our first trip to DW!

I just wanted to let you know, you guys and gals are great! :love:
