White card members with blue card discount?

We've been at WDW for a few days now, and did Mobile Order at Karmell Kuche last night. When I looked at the emailed receipt, I was surprised to see that we'd gotten the 20% DVC discount, despite being white card members.

Strangely, our digital membership card specifies "ND," and not "Y," so I don't know what's going on! I'm half tempted to try our luck at Via Napoli today, but I don't know how far to push my luck. 😁

Anyway, obviously Disney still has some kinks to work out!

In Dec. 2021, the DVC discount was applied to our mobile order for Karmell Kuche even though we are white card members.
This was the only place that the discount was automatically applied and we tried mobile order for all of our meals at the resorts and the parks.

Very few quick service dining locations offer a DVC discount on food. The ones that do are primarily 3rd party locations at Disney Springs.

True. The only QS locations in the parks that I'm aware of that offer DVC discounts are the Joffrey's kiosks and La Cantina (Mexico QS) in Epcot.

Karmell Kuche gave you the discount because it's technically considered a store, not a restaurant. If you do the mobile checkout at any store the discount will be automatically applied. Same with the restaurants that have a "to go" option. I guess Disney hasn't differentiated between white and blue members on its checkout system yet.

It sounds like the system does not yet recognize the difference for mobile order. Via Napoli has asked for my DVC and knew it needed to be Y when I have gone all three trips.

Once everything is updated and correct I would assume this will change. But who knows.

Just a reminder to others, membership perks are only available to those who are eligible

However, what an individual CM chooses to do is on them.

I decided not to press my luck and try to get the discount at Via Napoli. It just didn't feel right to me. There should be advantages to paying the extra for direct.

Just an interesting snafu! Thanks for chiming in, everyone. Wonder when they'll finally work out the kinks.

We are white card holders and received the DVC discount at the Disney Store at DS when we used mobile checkout last month. It just automatically applied it.
This was our experience as well back in October. We didn't ask for the discount. But it was automatically applied when we did the mobile checkout at WoD. Presumably, at some point, they will fix this and only those direct owners who qualify will have the discount applied in these circumstances.
