Hello! We were looking at pics from my friends Dis trip in October and they had fond memories of the food and atmosphere at Whispering Canyon - this is where they yell "ketchup" and everyone runs right? Anyway, would you get the same effect for breakfast or would you choose/lunch dinner?

Yes and no... Breakfast is very lively and lunch depends... It depends on how crowded it is... When the place is empty it seems like the servers are much less lively... Lunch can be a quieter time there.... It is when the place is full that the atmosphere comes alive... Breakfast time is lots of fun, crowded, and very noisey...We love it for breakfast and dinner... Lunch depends on the server and the crowd level.... We also do not like the lunch menu as much as breakfast and dinner.

We went for lunch last Sept and were less than impressed. The food was not that good, and the interaction level was just so-so. A couple of the waiters were "hamming it up" but ours was not. That wasn't a big deal to us, since less chaos suits us, but the disappointing food was a big let-down. Breakfast or dinner might be a better option.

I'm doing lunch on a Saturday, maybe I should switch it to dinner?

It's our first time there and I really want it to be good! Not just the food, but the atmosphere.:thumbsup2

Thanks for the info. I think I will schedule a breakfast there...we stay offsite at our timeshare but we should be able to get there for a breakfast...IF I can get ressies:confused3

When we went for breakfast, one of the waitresses (who was wearing a wedding
veil and had handcuffs attached to her belt) made one of the men "marry" her.
He was NOT happy and his wife was falling off her chair in hysterics. :thumbsup2
When we went for dinner, my youngest DD at the time was up and walking around and not eating her meal so the waiter took all of the red cloth napkins
and tied her to the chair so she couldn't get up anymore. We have pictures.:thumbsup2

Oh wow. I didn't realize it was like this. I just booked this restaurant because I had to see the "All you care to enjoy" platter, now I am really looking forward to it.

Now, if I can just keep my big mouth shut and not tell the family and hopefully they will get a fun surprise!

We LOVE WCC. Last time we were there, had a party of about 10 folks next to us. It was a riot...one guest asked for "The biggest iced tea you can find" and his glass was the size of a garbage can :lmao: ...then, about half way through the dinner, their server , Senor Dust Bowl, rang that big triangle thing, and said " OK, all night, this group want attention...they want the drinks, they want napkins, they want the food...they want attention, Senor Dust Bowl give them the attention...ride'em cowboys..." and he made them ride the little hobby horses around the whole place. We were roaring, and so were their wives. :rotfl2:

We love the food, especially the all you care to eat skillet. They are also one of the more flexible TS with the kids meals, willing to work with you for the little ones.

Just made my ADR for breakfast on our last day!! Thanks for the recommendations - I hope they ham it up for us, I won't tell the kids or DH, they will get a huge kick out of it!

I'm another that would advise against a lunch ADR if you want any interaction. We were there during that timeframe last summer and surprisingly there were only about four tables filled. There was one server that was trying to go thru some of the antics...but it just seemed weird because the place was soooo quiet and she was really loud. Our server was very reserved and basically threw the straws on the table and that was the extent of it (and she seemed really embarrassed about doing it...maybe she was a newbie?). I wasn't going to go back but decided to give it a second try for dinner. There will be 10 of us all seated to gether -- so that should make for some real fun if we get a server that's on their "game".
