On the last day of our trip, 8/23/06, we had 6 TS credits left, so we decided to give WCC a try. We had 9 in our party, so we planned for the children to share since they weren't that hungry and we still had CS credits to use. I called Disney Dining that morning, and had a choice of times. I chose 12:10. We arrive, check in, and have a 10 or so minute wait. No big deal, but I did notice how empty the place was. It's our turn and we are seated. Some of our group took too long, so I suggested that they be punished. The hostess gave them a serious tongue lashing. I thought this was the beginning of a fun meal. After quite some time, Frank came to get our drink order. We tried to get him going, but no luck. Meanwhile, we hid our ketchup, so BIL would need to ask for some. DH and I had not told anyone about the antics because we wanted to see their reactions. Without participation from our server, MIL didn't understand why another server was so loud. We decided to explain all, and everyone at the table started to enjoy the happenings at other tables...none for us though. I told Frank my straw wasn't long enough, I kept needing a refill, and BIL asked for ketchup....but nothing! The kids did the horse race, we did the hokey pokey, sang happy birthday to others, clapped when someone spilled their drink, etc. The dining room was about half full, but it seemed to take forever to get our food. We thought we would make it to MK in time for the 3:00 parade. WRONG! I just really do not understand why is takes over 3 hours to feed a group of 9? It didn't have to do with the size of our group because I heard the table beside us comment on the pace for their group of 4. I don't remember what everyone had, but I ordered a cheeseburger....it was bad, and my nachos...bad, bad! This was definitely a waste of our time and credits. We will try WCC again, because so many fellow DISers have reported great experiences!
