We are headed to WDW October 10th (first time for everyone in our family). Our flight arrives at 6:40pm and we will head straight to Wilderness Lodge where we are staying. We just booked our airfare two weeks ago so naturally I didn't get an ADR for dinner that night. I thought it would be nice to have a relaxing meal after traveling all day. How easy is it to eat at WCC without an ADR? The latest ADR I see right now is 8:45, which I feel might be a stretch if we get delayed anywhere. I would appreciate any help. Thanks!

We always ADR WC for when they open. People sometimes stay longer for the experience. We have never gotten walk up but haven't tried in several years.

I agree, I would keep trying for an ADR! You might have better luck the few days leading up to your arrival or even the day of. Good luck!

Thanks for the responses. I think we'll have to play it by ear. I'm not opposed to grabbing the 8:45 ADR and getting charged the no-show fee (if we're really late), but it would be nice to avoid. We'll likely try a walk up. If that isn't available there's always room service :)

You could always try the day of too. We literally made a reservation for there once while we were standing in front of the place.

2 hours would not be enough cushion for me. I would look once you get to the resort, there may be an ADR available, and that would take the stress off of you.

One thing to be aware or, WCC is not relaxing. It is loud and chaotic. If you want relaxing, I would send you to Artist Point.

We arrive at the lodge on the 9th, but decided to make our ADR for a few days after, and was surprised to see only a few time options for that night..However I agree about the Artist Point....Also got a ADR at the end of our stay for this awesome restaurant...Love the food and ambience ..

I'd just like to agree that while I love WCC it is loud and rambunctious and not what I would consider a nice relaxed dinner after a long day of travel. I'd go for Artist Point if it were me.
