Whispering Canyon vegetable enchilida's??

My turn to defend Cinderelly:goodvibes

In this thread and the one I attached, Cinderelly encouraged me and others to try out WCC, and said that the skillet sides were good. I, for one, don't mind that she gives her opinion and, in response to a question from another member, she was able to give good reasons why she didn't like it. She even mentioned that her opinion could have been affected by a bad waitress and location!

My only problem is that the worse she makes the enchiladas sound, the more I want to try them! Am I sick or what?

Thanks :) No, that is not sick - I'm anxious to hear what everyone else thinks!!! Just don't blame me if you don't like them ;)

Coral Reef's veggie dish is not the one on-line on All Ears, its a tofu skewer type thing and its awesome!

The veggie enchilada had this BBQ sauce on it which was cold, but the enchilada was hot - I didn't like that. The sauce mixed funny with the quinoa that was with the enchilada, and the enchilada itself was just soggy and seemed as if it was sitting out for awhile. They give you two of them and I tried to eat 1/2 of one before I gave up, so my mom and I just ate the potatoes and cornbread off my dad's skillet LOL!

I love the idea of a skewer thingy and I rarely cook tofu myself so this sounds very fun.

I am not a vegetarian but funny about what meat I eat LMAO. I thought they were pretty good.... But please remember I have never met an enchilida I did not like.:lmao: Mine were not soggy and everything was hot. HTH

My turn to defend Cinderelly:goodvibes

Actually, my comment wasn't pointed at CC so from my seat she doesn't need defending. I just think she went and didn't like it/them. She stated her point; end of "discussion". My view of WCC is just my view, many can't wait to return there. I think that's the way Disney intended it, that's why there is so much dining diversity at Disney.

We just got back yesterday, and I think Cinderelly was right about the enchiladas! We loved WCC; our waitress was hilarious, and the Wilderness Lodge is a great place to spend an evening. But the flavor combination of beans, cheddar cheese and barbecue sauce just didn't taste right to me. I ended up leaving most of the enchiladas and eating corn and mashed potatoes from the skillet.

Has anyone tried these???
I have not tried them. Been to WCC, but I am far from being a vegetarian. I love my veggies, but I also am a meat lover. The food at WCC (esp. skillet) is really good. If I were a vegetarian, I would pick restaurants that are buffet. Boma, 1900 Park Fare, CM, CP. They usually have a large number of vegetables. LTT is a buffet, but it includes veggies such as cornbread dressing, green beans, mac and cheese, and potatoes. I think one of the restaurants at Epcot has veggies. I can't think of the name off hand. A lot of restaurants will modify their menu and make you some vegetarian dishes. Disney is very flexible with regard to that.
