Whispering Canyon PS

We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge for the first time this year in September. Do I really need to have PS for breakfast and dinner at Whispering Canyon since we'll be there at a "slow" time? If so, do I need to make them 90 days out (I hate having every day planned and scheduled out)? Or can I make them when we're there, maybe a day or two before?

In September? I would think that you would want the PS just to make sure. I would also think at that time of year depending on what day it is you should be okay making the PS that morning. At least that's the way it is in the parks. I would think it would be the same for WCC.

We were there in February for a week and never made a PS to eat at WC. We ate there every morning for breakfast and it was never a problem. However in the evening it was pretty crowded, so you would probably want to make a PS that day. We often just call dining from our room and find out when we can come by to eat and are given a PS then. I personally would not worry. I do make PS for park meals, but usually only a few weeks before arriving. (EXCEPT chef mickey's and I make that one 90 days prior.)

We called from the House phone at Fort Wilderness and made same day reservations for lunch on the day after Easter. There were many times available. I think you could get a same day reservation for a meal if you can be somewhat flexible about your times.

Thank you all very much for your response. That makes me feel better. I'm like you n2mm. I usually do 90-day PS for CRT or the princess breakfast at Epcot but I like to leave the rest of our time kinda open. Thank you.

Even on the off seasons, this place gets crowded. I would recommend a PS.
