We are going to AK for the day sleigh ride @ 7:00 at Fort Wilderness. I currently have reservations for an early dinner at Rainforest Cafe but got it in my head today maybe Whispering Canyon would be better? Nothing is available right now but I am stalking the reservation website. Opinions?

The atmosphere at RFC is awesome, but I prefer WC for the food and the interactive fun. jmho. Seeing my shy, quiet husband galloping on a stick horse singing "You are my sunshine, my only sunshine" was the highlight of my anniversary. And this time, I am looking forward to seeing my 9 year old DN's face when she asks for ketchup. I'll leave it at that.:)

I would vote for WCC because it's unique to WDW. I've eaten at both, and both were good. It's been a while since I've eaten at Rain Forest Cafe, but the biggest drawback was they seemed kind of slow.

I like both restaurants for their atmosphere, both have pretty god food, so the tie goes to the restaurant with better service and that is WCC. Also, WL is a boat ride away from Fort Wilderness, so it's easier to get there than from Rainforest Cafe

We haven't done Rainforest at Disney because we've done two in the Chicago area and the one in Vegas. We were not overly thrilled with it; the food was decent, but overpriced in our opinion.

That being said, I would pick ANYTHING over the Whispering Canyon Cafe. Besides Hollywood & Vine, the WCC was the absolute worse meal and service we have ever had at Disney.

Stick with Rainforest Cafe in our opinion.

Maybe I should quit stalking the ADR website and keep what I have? I am just thinking logistically since we are spending the day at AK either that or something at Wilderness would be better. Has anyone tried Trails End is that worth considering?

Since RF has locations around the country, that can be visited anytime,
I would recommend the WC.
Just to experience something not normally found close to home.

WCC without question. RFC can be very crowded and slow.

I'd go with Rainforest Cafe. We did WCC and didn't really like it. We got the skillet and the food just wasn't that good. The ribs were the only good thing about it.

If you can get it, I'd hold out for the Whispering Canyon. Rainforest was honestly just blah to us. We didn't enjoy the food, and while the atmosphere was cool, we'd rather do T-Rex than Rainforest. The food and atmosphere at Whispering Canyon were both really fantastic in our opinion! We're going back on our next trip!

Another vote for WCC. We have a Rainforest Cafe here in the metroplex so we would never eat at a restaurant at WDW that we could eat at home.

That being said, we had never been to WCC until our last trip & we're sorry we waited that long. The entertainment was great and the food was good as well. The chicken/ribs/pulled pork were all tasty and the milkshakes were great too! :thumbsup2
