Ive done WC for dinner 2 different times but was thinking about breakfast. Do they still do the same antic's as later in the evening? Im planning a girls trip for sept/oct and make my reservations in 24 days!

They still do it. It may be somewhat toned down. They now give you cards to turn over if you do not want to participate.

My son loved the skillet breakfast.

Remember tho that if you decline to "participate", you still have to see and hear it all---

I've read pretty recently that the antics are significantly toned down for breakfast, presumably because it gets noisy and with it being morning, it was disruptive to WL guests. I'd go for dinner if you want the full experience.

When we were there February of last year it was the same raucous breakfast as always. Breakfast there has always been one of our favorite parts of staying at WL. Too bad they've toned it down for the fuddy-duddy party-poopers. It's vacation people - lighten up and have some fun!

Well, when you're spending that amount of money to stay at WL and you room is over WCC, I'd be a little peeved if I was awoken by people screaming for ketchup at 7am. One of the drawbacks of the restaurant being open air to the lobby I guess.

If you are that bothered by the noise ask to be moved from one of those 78 rooms to any one of the other 649 rooms. It has never been an issue for me and I am a light and normally late sleeper who loves the bear faced rooms.

They can't move everyone who's above WCC. But I've never stayed there. I was just citing the reason the antics have been toned down at WCC breakfast, which some people have reported. Not sure if it's factual but it makes sense. Not to mention, not everyone wants that in your face rowdy type thing first thing in the morning, so that could be part of it too.

This is a place for "antics"--if you like a quiet normal breakfast, head elsewhere. The servers scream at each other and the patrons. they throw paper napkins and blow paper straw coverings at patrons. The servers slam their serving trays on the floor and yell 'Yee ha" at the top of their lungs. They scream "catsup" anytime anyone wants some. Then there is the childrens (and often a few adults) stick horse ride around the restaurant.

The food is poor to fair.

Other than all that it's a great spot!!!

We went just once for breakfast and even years later I can still hear the slamming of serving trays on the floor----

This is definitely the situation at dinner, but as mentioned above, recent reports say the antics are much more calm at breakfast now. Maybe someone who's been recently can chime in.

Whether or not the food is good is relative - we enjoyed the dinner food, can't speak to breakfast.

We had a 10:00am breakfast at WCC toward the end of the September and it was much calmer than the dinners we had previously experienced.

The banana bread french toast is AH-MAZING!

We've eaten B, L, D there and breakfast was very calm and subdued. Other than a couple of calls for catsup there wasn't any shouting or noise making by the servers.

I went almost exactly one year ago. I was nervous about the participation and even took off my birthday button. The servers did yell, but that didn't bother me. They left us alone. The server was great and asked us questions, cracked jokes and sat for a little chat. I am going WDW next week and plan on going for breakfast. I have only ever been to breakfast, so I have nothing to compare it too. My brother and I are in our late 30s. I went because I was craving pancakes. I always go to the Grand Floridian Cafe and wanted to change it up. We loved our food.

We were in a room right above the Whispering Canyon Cafe sign and breakfast tended to be quiet while dinners were very noisy. We have also eaten breakfast there three times in the last fifteen months. All of the breakfasts were fairly quiet. In fact we got stuck with all the ketchup bottles for most of our breakfast back in October because no one was asking for ketchup. ;) We also had a waiter show up dressed like this:

That costume is to funny! Ive been for dinner twice now and it is fun! I was looking at the menu and the breakfast's look good!
