Anyone have an opinion on which is better at Whispering Canyon - breakfast or dinner? We are staying at the WL and would like to try this place at least once. Thanks!

We love the breakfast...The menu is small but the food is really good...We find it a great way to end a stay there...We go down for breakfast then back up to the room for check-out...Don't get me wrong any day of the trip is great...The atmosphere is so fun and it makes a day come to life...Dinner is also fun but we have had some hit and miss meals there...We liked it much better 8 years ago then we do now...I do not know what changed...But breakfast is still terrific.

Dinner is quite good (love the cornbread and pulled pork) but breakfast is a hidden jewel in my opinion! We love the breakfast skillet! It has become a tradition to eat here in the morning of the day we leave before heading to the airport.

We are staying at WL during the end of August. Does anyone have any information on how long the wait is for breakfast at the Whispering Canyon?

I say if you're staying there to do both.
Rule #1 for me once i've selected my resort is to soak up everything i can at that resort while i'm there. Obviously i eat at other places too- but i try not to reinvent the wheel adn pay money for a nice resort that i'm not going to enjoy every aspect of.

I've heard good things about both and they would both be different experiences/food types. I can't wait to try the cinnamon french toast for bfast! Plus u can get milk shakes any time of day! :)

I'll put another vote for Breakfast. One of our favs.
We like the All you can eat Skillet. Served family style, a little bit for everyeone. And they put a little something extra in the scrambled eggs that make them oh so good. (I won't tell you what but you'll like it).
And you might not normally do this, but make sure to order Ketsup with your eggs for a little extra taste. Goes great with the meal.

Both are good . But I pick dinner always over breakfast at any Disney resturant.

I would make an ADR...If not you may not get a table at all...You may have a shot if you get there very early...But we have seen very long waits for walk-ups and we have seen walk-ups turned away.

You can make reservations.

I'm not sure why --- but we often are able to make reservations at Disney restaurants (even the popular ones) the day before or even the same day. If you decide to try it - just call ahead....hopefully the reservation pixie dust I'm attaching will work!

Don't forget to ask for catsup!!

Have a great time.

we had lunch there and the skillet was amazing!! too bad the milkshake machine was broken, but the smoothie was good. There was SO much to eat and it all was excellent! I will be eating there on my next trip! Lunch and dinner skillet was pretty much the same, and we got pulled pork instead of sausage b/c the milkshake machine was broken, but they still brought out sausage anyway. Dinner has the pulled pork. the restaurant was very cute and the resort is beautiful. If i was staying at the WL i would eat there as much as i could, and also Artists' Point b/c that was the best service at any disney restaurant we've eaten at. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

We've never done breakfast so can't comment on it. We went for dinner last year and we won't be going back. Besides the service being absolutely awful (we were a party of two and we were there over two hours) and the skillet was absolutely horrible (the ribs at Flame Tree at the AK were much better as were the beans and the cornbread). I would consider trying breakfast but not in the near future after the bad experience we had in September.

Put me down for breakfast! Great eggs, smoothies, and if you are brave, try the family skillet. All the antics from the staff will surely wake you up.

Sorry to hear KatMark had a bad time (which can happen anywhere), but my family has been eating at least one meal there for the past ten years, and have always had a great time. It is a "must do" for me.
