Whispering Canyon Cafe

Haven't eaten here, but from what I heard, it's almost like Dick's in Myrtle Beach & Las Vegas, but without the silly hats with sayings on them. This is actually a toss up for us between 1900 Park Fare.

are the never ending milkshakes included in the price of the skillet? We are looking at taking 7 to 10 people here in June, and every one of my kids will want to order a milkshake. Just wondering if I need to take out a small loan for these or not lol

I'm really intrigued now and I have my fingers crossed that it will be a silly and fun way to kick off my Disney vacation.

We love WCC and always make it part of our trip, I you don't want to take part in the games ask to be seated in the back room, it's very nice.

We eat at WC every year and love, love, love it!! We always have the skillet. Yes, it is loud and crazy, but you don't have to participate in anything. Just sit back and watch the crazy antics and have fun.

We enjoy it there. The staff is very entertaining and my kids laughed the whole time. The hotel is beautiful.
The food was good as well...and I had the skillet which I really enjoyed while DH had steak. Plenty of food and tasty.
You'll enjoy it(I hope). :thumbsup2

We ate there for the first time last December and loved it. We both got the skillet and it was more food than I could eat! It was really good food. We enjoyed the fun, but were not a part of the antics directly. I think you'll enjoy it.

For the poster who is trying to get a ressie, keep trying. Also try walk up. The lobby is so beautiful, you can be entertained during your wait by checking everything out.

For the person who hated the food etc., I would try it again. I usually give a restaurant two times to impress me before I check it off my list. Could be you hit a bad day?

No the milkshakes are not part of the skillet. If you are on the DDP or DxDP than you can get a milkshake as your drink.

I agree about giving it a second chance! I have been trying to convince my dh to go back to 1900 park fare for a second chance and so far it hasn't worked.

I had so much fun at WCC, but I have no problem playing it up with them. Same as 50s Prime Time Cafe. Fun, fun, fun. :thumbsup2
If you don't like that interactive type of experience, you will be miserable.
I had the skillet and it was way too much food for one person. I filled up on the salad and cornbread (both yummy by the way) and the 4 extra root beers that the waiter brought me. We were on the dining plan so after all that food, I opted to take my dessert to go.

We ate there once and didnt care for it at all...the best thing is the corn bread

Totally agree. I really really really didn't like the skillet. My whole family didn't enjoy it, but I left feeling sick from it.

I think it's something you like the taste of or you don't. It had a VERY strong liquid smoke flavor (I think that's what it was) and it turns out I don't like it. So I was kind of out of luck as even the potatoes tasted like it:sick:

Our waitress was fun and the restaurant atmosphere was cute.. but it's one of two WDW restaurants we have vowed never to return to.

I just made ADR's for dinner there in Oct. I have read that alot of people did not like the skillet. FORTUNATELY there are other choices. I looked at the menu and personally I do not think the skillet looks good to me anyway. I get enough chicken and ribs, dont need the sloppy skillet servings. But there is a ribeye steak, and meatloaf, as well as pork loin dinner. You can also get just the chicken dinner or the St Louis ribs as a dinner as well. So this will be our first time there I am hoping to have fun.
