I have a lunch booked at WCC, but wondering if it is worth it. I thought it was a buffet, but apparently it is buffet or menu...

Anyone have good/bad reviews?

We had lunch there in Aug and it was gross...the food was greasy, fatty and not worth it.

It is not a buffet. It is an a la carte menu with one all you can eat selection (the skillet). This is not served buffet style - it is brought to the table and served family style. Not everyone at the table has to order the skillet, but you can't share it with anyone who didn't order it (unless that person is under 3 years old).

We love WCC.
Our experience the food was very good and the staff excellent. So you will get varying opinions.
I say if the menu appeals to you go, if not then it isn't a place for you.

DH gets the skillet and found everything to be very tasty, not fatty or greasy. I have the ribeye steak and find it to be tender and very good.

My mom and I had the meatloaf and mashed potatoes and it was goooood.

Don't forget to ask for ketchup at your table and see what happens.......

We really love Whispering Canyon, love the BBQ and the ribs. Also they have all you can drink milk shakes!:thumbsup2 You will definately need some ketchup with your meal.

We were there in Aug and it was okay. We wouldn't go back

We've only been there once but we thoroughly enjoyed it as well and would like to go back on a future trip. In fact, DS13 wants to have his 14th birthday there.

We think it's quite good, and the all you can drink milkshakes can't be beat:thumbsup2 You can can a different flavor when you get a refill.

DD and I just ate there a couple of weeks ago for lunch - this is her favourite must do place to eat every trip. We each had the skillet, and she had the all you can drink milkshake. We love the corn on the cob, the mashed potatoes, and be sure you ask for white meat if you like chicken breast best - they were huge and so good. DD loves the ribs, and the corn bread is great. We left stuffed but happy. And being able to gaze around the Lodge makes it even better! And our waitress was fun - she would sit and visit with us while we ate. Enjoy! Oh, and if you have DVC membership, don't forget you get 10% off of lunch!

One of our favorite places to eat. A must do for every trip and we do not have little kids. 2 teens and 2 adults. Its loud but it is so much fun. Food is good I think LeCellier is better but still a top choice for us.

Did dinner two years ago. It joined the list, along with Hollywood & Vine, that you couldn't pay us to eat there again. DH got sick on the meat in the skillet...never again.

We just ate there the end of Oct.

We really liked the ribs and the skillet meal. The Desserts were awesome!! It was our first time on the dining plan, so we had a great time trying all the desserts that we never would have bought!

We did eat there for lunch, and previously had eaten there for dinner. It was a more subdued atmosphere, but we still had very friendly CM's and had a great time.

We ate at WCC in Dec 2007 for lunch. We were looking forward to it being loud and fun things happening. Problem was it was very slow and very few people there at lunchtime and not much happened. It was kind of disappointing. I did get yelled at for spilling my soda and not cleaning it up. We have an ADR to go back this December, this time for dinner.

The food was good. What I would expect from a Disney restaurant.

Funny how everyone has a different experience! We had lunch there about 2 years ago, we got the skillet and enjoyed it. We have dinner reservations to go again in December. :santa:

DH and I had the all you can eat skillet in June. I thought it was great and he thought it was good. We went for dinner to get the pulled pork instead of the sausage in the skillet. The only bad part was that we were so full, we could hardly move :rotfl2: We had to get our dessert to go. :goodvibes
