Whispering Canyon Cafe on the DDP

I am wondering about Whispering Canyon Cafe and am thinking about booking it on the eve of our Wedding. However, I know this is 1 TS credit but I wondered as there are 3 in our party, what if one of us wants to order the skillet and 2 of us want to order from the menu or vice versa, is that allowed? Do you still get a starter and a dessert if you order the skillet on the DDP?

No problem with some people getting the skillet and others ordering off the menu. If you get the skillet you don't get a choice of starter - you get cornbread. Everybody gets to pick a dessert.

I believe the skillet comes with a default appetizer of salad, so you don't get to pick something else off the menu. However, you get dessert just like any other meal.

Our server told us that the skillet was not the way to go when using the dining plan. We got more bang for our buck going the appetizer / meal / dessert route.

Of course, if you want the skillet go for it! We have had it before, and we enjoyed it. We just tried to maximize the value of the dining plan...

Yep - I should have mentioned that - you get salad and cornbread, plus what's in the skillet, plus dessert.

There's also no problem switching around or sharing appetizers. When we went, my dh and kids all got the skillet, but I ordered off the menu. I wanted the salad, but knew they wouldn't finish all 3 of theirs, so I ordered the nachos for them and I ate their salads.

Each of us got our own dessert.
