I booked an early breakfast for my DS14 and I on the morning my wife and DD10 are having breakfast at CRT. I did it mainly to just hang out with my son but also because I've never been to the Wilderness Lodge and thought we could take a nice boat ride and check out the resort.

How's the breakfast there (on the DDP)? We're too guys so throw some meat, eggs and taters in front of us and we're good. Do they do the same routine like they do at dinner? Anything special there we should look for to eat or check out? Thanks!

I thought the food was ok. The CM's interact with the guests in a fun often humorous way. As your DS is 14 you only have a short time before you're no longer cool to be with, so enjoy the time.

It is a great place to eat breakfast if you like meat and taters kind of breakfast. They staff has great interaction with the guests in the cafe.

Your son may be a bit old for the antics there. The food is filling....

I'd suggest Kona Cafe for breakfast! Right on the monorail, and favorite braekfast of my DS (10) and I. Have some of that Kona coffee too! :thumbsup2

Yeah, I'm not looking forward to when I'm no longer "cool". I was just happy he was excited to be going to WDW when we surprised them on Xmas morning.

We go to Whispering Canyon at least once each WDW trip for breakfast. We really enjoy the all you care to eat skilet but we really don't do it justice - the food just keeps coming! The interaction of the staff is great fun - even for teenage boys. They often try that much harder for those kids who think they're "too cool" for the antics. And the food is your basic breakfast buffet - eggs, home fried potatoes, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy and of course Mickey waffles. It's served family style on a lazy susan in the center of the table. We really enjoy it.
