Whispering Canyon Cafe Dining Plan ???

Yes, the kids can order the skillet too.

Are the skillets and milkshakes included on the regular dining plan (the one with 1 ts, 1cs and 1 snack)? Wondering for adults and children. Thanks so much.....sorry I'm a bit confused......

I've seen people post that they got the appetizer. Of course that may have been at lunch...the lunch skillet doesn't come with a salad.

Nala, it may have just been our server, but when we had dinner there last fall, we were told we did not get an appetizer due to the salad that came with the skillet counting as the appetizer. We were on the DxDDP.

We had our first dinner skillet last month & what we ate was yummy - the pulled pork & ribs. The chicken was thighs & we don't like those. The brisket was shoe leather! No problem though - there was so much food to eat. We also each ate a small ear of corn. Didn't eat the mashed potatoes or the corn bread - tasted each & they were good. Just a couple of bites of the salad - too much food!

So, after we were finished & talking with our server we discovered that when ordering a skillet we can request what we want & how much we want - which chicken pieces, or only ribs, or only ribs & pulled pork, no salad, no potatoes, etc. That made us feel better - hated wasting the food. She also asked if we wanted to take the leftovers as carryout & said it is always acceptable to do so, & that some people fill up the skillet a 2nd time in order to have leftovers to take. For those who want to do so, the food could be placed in the room fridge & heated in the food court microwave & fill in as a meal on days when Signature TS ate up credits.

I had the caramel shake; hubby had the chocolate. Both were yummy. Be careful though - don't fill up on shakes - they are very filling! Server was also nice enough to bring out about 1/3 of a strawberry shake so we could taste it. BTW, if one has the stomach to order a shake refill, it can be a different flavor.

As carryout we had the Apple Caramel Pie & the Cheesecake. The Cheesecake was typical, but good. The Pie was not good - it was all very thick & dry crust.

We will probably go back & have the Skillet again, but only with ribs, pulled pork, & small ear of corn each, with a shake of course! That keeps it from being a "crapload"!

Enjoy. Julie

Great report Julie! Thanks so much for all the great info. My teen is looking very forward to this meal. I'm glad to know you don't have to get everything on the skillet. I'm not a huge eater & would hate to see the food go to waste.

I hadn't noticed the difference between the lunch and dinner skillet. Since they added a 2nd MSEP and an hour to MK the day we were going there, no problem switching to an early dinner. Glad I read this!

We are specifically wanting dinner because of the pulled pork (not on lunch skillet).
