We are taking my daughter to Disney for her 4th birthday, and while we are doing her actual birthday dinner at CRT, we are having dinner the night before at WCC and were really hoping for antics and fun. Does anyone know what it has been like post-covid? I assume there have been some changes, but is it still rowdy and fun? I also welcome all suggestions on how to turn up the fun - we have only been once and our waitress just wasn't into it so this will essentially be our re-do

I've eaten there a couple times recently and the waitresses/waiters usually have sass (though just like 50's PT, depends on who you get). They are not encouraging things that would have people up and walking around, of course. I wouldn't call it rowdy but amusing :confused3

One of our waitresses wasn't that into it but it was fun to watch other tables with more entertaining staff.

I went for the first time only because I was meeting a friend and her boyfriend and he loves it. We had straws and napkins thrown at us and one server - not ours, thankfully - was screaming and acting like a toddler the whole time. I personally found it extremely annoying and will not be returning. But I know I'm weird in hating it.

(I don't mind 50s Prime Time because they aren't acting like toddlers and throwing things.)

In June they were still throwing straws/napkins but no ketchup antics (this was because they were serving in cups not bottles weather cause of covid or ketchup shortages around that period or both) server said he hoped for ketchup antics to eventually return

Was there in July. Servers were awesome: personal and irreverent. The screaming and racing around the restaurant had always kept us away in recent years (it gets REALLY old after the first time).

The lack of screaming also meant the Lodge’s lobby felt wonderfully inviting.

Really hope they keep it this way so we can return. It’s a really nice balance between fun and not feeling overwhelmed.
