Whispering Cafe

[Disney Vegas]

Anyone been to the Whispering Cafe? I heard that it is the opposite of quiet and that if you ask for a straw, all of the servers will run over and throw straws at you and they yell to eachother whatever you are requesting. If this is true I would LOVE to embarrass my 23 yr old brother and I would like some suggestions on how to draw the most attention to him.

I've asked for a "big" glass of water and gotten a carafe... I've asked for a "really big" glass of water and gotten a bucket.

The servers are very good at reading people. If you want attention they will give it. Ask the server for almost anything they haven't given you and they will put on a show! Ketchup and straws are sure to get attention.

Be sure to be a little on the wild side the first time you see your server and engage your server in as much conversation as possible.

I would even have something embarrassing (Disney related?) to share about dear brother. That should get things started.

we went last month, and our waitress was good, but not totally into her role. we had straws and napkins chucked at us and the ketchup gag, but other than that she was quite calm...i was kinda sad! lol there was one amazing waiter i think named dirk? and he was totally into it. the gigantic water with 5 ft long straw came out and i think someone at his table must of asked for a clean fork or a bigger one, and dang it was hilarious to see one come out.

ds celebrated his bday and got a cupcake and had to stand on a chair i think? but the little girl next to us, the waitresses went to give her hers and sing, then they all gathered round and ate her cupcake!!!! as long as your game go for anything and everything!

i wanna know about the cell phone!!! ours will never be on, roaming charges from canada will be insane.

DS18 and I had breakfast there the Monday of last week....

It was hilarious... I had NOT clued DS in...but I took him there KNOWING that he would ask for ketchup and ALWAYS orders a Coke for Breakfast...

MT was our server...she was hilarious and pulled up a chair and started chatting with us FIRST THING.... she must be there a lot because I heard good things about her from a disfriend at our dismeet the next night...

Someone 'beat us to the punch' in asking for ketchup but that was HILARIOUS to watch. DS ordered a coke as expected. I asked for a fork... I'll try to post pics below.

I've read that you should NEVER EXPECT them to do 'such n such'.... but other things that may prod them on include: Wearing a Universal shirt or mentioning Universal....chewing gum or asking where you can get chewing gum....a Boy asking where the restroom is....

MT was our server...she was hilarious and pulled up a chair and started chatting with us FIRST THING....

Last month we had the same experience!

While I was away, taking care of a ticket problem, the kids were explaining to her how I'm just a big kid at Disney and that I drink a lot of diet coke (even for breakfast). When I joined my family just in time for the end of the meal, she brought me a diet coke in kid-sized "to go" cup; a very nice touch!

We ate breakfast there twice on our Honeymoon, it was wonderful. We ate there really early, I think like 7:30 in the morning so there wasn't a whole lot of people in the place so we had a quiet morning.
