Whirlpool or Maytag Washer?

Please no slamming, but Consumer Reports hasn't worked for me. I rely on eopinions.com and other websites which a simple google search can generate for you.

I have had the exact same experience with Consumer Reports, and so has my mother. I went out of my way to buy the models they recommended, and it didn't pay off at all.

I know it isn't on your list, but Bosch makes a fantastic dishwasher. I've put one in our last three homes and my parent have in both of their homes.

The appliances of 20 years ago are NOT the appliances of today!
We researched a lot before we replaced our 15 yr old dryer and 25 year old (Frigidaire) washer which was still working just not as good, we gave them to a couple that needed them.
Samsung and LG were the ones with the best rating and we got a great deal on the LG on Black Friday. I saved $35.00 the first month on our electric bill. I didn't know it shouldn't take 3 hours to dry towels!
