Whirlpool not honoring my warranty UPDATE- THEY'RE PAYING!!

UPDATE!!!

I just got a phone call from Whirlpool and they have agreed to buy not only the one unit but the matching unit as well (which is what we demanded). These are two stand alone units, one fridge and one freezer that fit together as a set. Since they didn't replace the fridge we replaced with a single stand alone fridge/freezer and I no longer have any use for the stand alone freezer. So they are going to pay me what I paid for them at Lowes in 2006.

So folks, it pays to fight for what's right! YAHOO!!!!!

I don't know what caused Whirlpool to change their mind. I am curious what finally did it but they didn't say and I'm not asking. I will be happy when the check is in my bank account. Thanks everybody for your support!
