I want to make a chocolate whipped frosting for my DS's bday cake. Isn't there a recipe for whipped cream and pudding mix? Anyone know any other easy whipped cream frosting recipes?

Have you tries the Wilton Yearbook or their Website?
The recipes tend to be simple. Otherwise I'd try Foodnetwork.com
They rate them as easy, medium, difficult.

Good luck!

I can't seem to find mine and for the life of me I can't think what goes in my recipe. Here are two I found online. Maybe one of these will help?

Whipped Gelatin Icing
This recipe says it is great on angel food cake!

1/2 cup crushed pineapple, drained well
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 small box gelatin (any flavor desired)
1 pint whipping cream

Boil pineapple, water and sugar for 5 minutes. Add gelatin. Stir well. Set aside; let cool until starting to gel.

Beat whipping cream and then stir the gelatin mixture into the whipped cream. Ice angel food cake.

Whipped Cream Icing
1 t unflavored gelatin
4 ts cold water
1 c heavy whipping cream -- (at least 24 hours old and very cold)
1/4 c confectioners' sugar
1/2 ts clear vanilla extract

Combine gelatin and cold water in small saucepan. Let stand until thick.
Place over low heat, stirring constantly just until gelatin dissolves.
Remove from heat and cool slightly. Whip cream, sugar and vanilla until
slightly thickened. While beating slowly, gradually add gelatin to whipped
cream mixture. Whip at high speed until stiff. Yield: 2 cups Cakes iced
with whipped cream must be kept refrigerated. (This is the commercial
recipe used by bakeries).

Here is the one I use. Works well with any flavor pudding and is delicious. You will want to eat it all by itself!

1 pkg. instant pudding mix
1 cup milk
1 carton whipped topping, thawed (I think it is 12 oz.?)
1/4 cup powdered sugar

Mix pudding mix and milk together as if you were making pudding. Beat in powdered sugar. Fold in whipped topping. Chill for about 30 minutes and then spread on cake. Enjoy!
