Let's start gathering up ideas for where and when you'd like to see RiddleCon II take place.

There has been some discussion on the RMC thread on the CB, but I thought I'd get a post started here to centralize everyone's ideas and to get input from those folks who might not frequent RMC.

I'd like to hear from you about where to hold RiddleCon and when to hold it too. I know that, in some cases, the where might change depending on the when (we won't be holding RiddleCon at Cedar Point in February, for example), but let's keep the two seperated for now.

So, POST AWAY!!

WHERE would you like to see RiddleCon II held, and WHEN would you like to see it happen?

I would love to see RiddleCon II combined with our Memorial Day picnic. Cedar Point on Friday night and Saturday. Picnic at our home on Sunday and breakfast Monday morning. Six Flags on Monday.

I would like to see RCII somewhere central, so that it isn't too much of a drive for those who choose to, and in the summer so that those with kids can more easily schedule the time. Maybe I will be able to come next time, I sure would like to. Of course, I will have to fly, unless it's in Disneyland, which could be a good place, Bernie!

Don't know if my family will be able to attend, but I have my fingers crossed. DH is losing his job in the spring and we don't know if he'll have a new job and vacation time. Our family is taking a cruise during spring break, so flying wouldn't be a riddlecon option. I'd prefer something closer to home, in the hopes I can squeeze it in. Still, I understand that most of you are way to my east.

I would like it to be during the summer months, too. It seems as if June is usually very busy for everyone with weddings, graduations, etc., so I think July and August would be better. Personally, it would probably have to be somewhere we could drive to in one day. Kennywood or Hershey would be really great for us!

Depends on swim meets for us - and schedule won't be out until Sept - or that is what I heard this morning

Cedar Point and Hershey both work for me!
That's my vote. Also, preferably August.

I definitely vote for July or August. Early August seems to work to avoid different school schedules. Memorial Day would not work for us because school is still in session and it is close to exams.

I would be willing to go back to Cedar Point but would do at least 2 days in the parks next time. I would prefer to try Kennywood or Hershey. Dorney Park in Allentown PA might also be an option.

WDW would be a week long family vacation for us and I think that would be hard to schedule so many people at the same time.

I'm pretty easy........anyhwere in Ohio or at Kennywood on this side of PA would be most convenient. I also LOVE Chicago!!!!I would go to Chicago for sure.
Aw...let's face it.....just tell me where & when & I'll work it out!!!

I'd follow you anywhere Bernie:eek: ;)

Actually, Kennywood would be about the farthest I would have a remote chance of talking Jody into coming:o ;)

A 6-7 hour radius is about it for us!

July-August kind of makes more sense.

I like the idea that TC suggested. Wonder if we could talk him into moving it to August?!

I love picnics. You can come over to my house anytime for a cookout. May. August. Whatever. I'm flexible (within reason). The only blackout date in August is the 10th. DW Sue and I celebrate our wedding anniversary each year by going back to the Inn at Honey Run in Millersburg and only the kids and Sue's mom are at our house then.

I would prefer WDW! :)

Cedar Point was fun and large enough of a venue to keep everyone thoroughly entertained... and for those of us traveling distances... provides enough additional value (i.e. wrap a family vacation into the program) to make it worthwhile. I am not so sure a smaller park would offer me the same justification to make the long journey.

July/August seems to be a good time frame. School schedules interfere otherwise and it was nice bringing my whole family to this DIS event.

Or... we could do WDW in December! LOL!

Chicago would certainly be closer for me! It is only about 7 hours as opposed to 17 to Cedar Point. We could always do a "D'Aire Lodge" picnic and visit Cedar Points two sister parks here...Valley Faire and Camp Snoopy (MOA). I would vote for WDW, but I don't much like going there in the summer. I would definately like an early December meet at WDW though!
PS. I might even be able to be talked into sharing a 3 bedroom Grand Villa with folks who can do family groups of up to 4 in a room! That would be non-gratis too!

I think my sisters Elaine, Stephanie, and Carol would share a room with me! If not, my twin sisters Laura and Lorraine, and my other sister Laura could probably do it, too!

LOL, Diane. I would love to see MOA, I like theme parks well enough, but I love shopping a lot more, and MOA has both. It's like a little bit of heaven in Minnesota.

MOA is a really fun spot & I think Chicago is a great idea too.............as I said before......I'm easy to please....just tell me where to be & I'll be there.:D

Chicago sounds good to me. :) And Six Flags Great America is just a few miles north of the city, along with all else around here.
