7 days of vacation at WDW in early December 2006

or

10+ days at WDW in July 2006.

I am debating on what I should do. We absolutely loved being at WDW and taking it pretty much easy for 13 days in WDW this past July. We had a really hard time with the heat and it really drained us out.

December would mean less days but cooler weather, xmas decorations....

Which would you do?

I would definately do December. July is too hot for us, and we're from the south! We went in late July, early August last year, and then again in May of this year and it was too hot. We also went last Dec. and are headed back again this Dec. The decorations are beautiful and the weather isn't bad either.

No question, do December. With the cooler weather and lighter crowds, you'll get as much done in 7 days as you would in 10 in July.

December...cooler, less crowded, just out of hurricane season and Christmas decorations!

December is such a wonderful time at WDW! If you didn't like the heat, definately go in December. Parks are much less crowded and the weather can still be pretty nice during the days...but probably cool at night. ::MinnieMo

Hands down, December. It's less hassle, less crowded, and the holiday decorations are fantastic. :)

I would definately pick Dec. and so would my dds who are sitting here with me as I type this. Crowds are less AND you get to see the Christmas decorations.

July! More days - which is a huge plus in my book, and I just love visiting in summer with the longer hours and the hot weather - it makes jumping in the resort pools and waterparks so much more fun. :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

Even though the parks usually close earlier every day in December and you would be there 3 less days, you will still be able to do WAY more than in July because the crowds will be so much better. We usually go early to mid December for 3 or 4 days and get all our favorite attractions in. This year decided to go in July with my husband's two brothers and their families. We were there for 6 days and didn't do anywhere near the things we wanted to do. We still had a blast (hey, there's no such thing as a bad time at Disney) but I would MUCH rather go in December.

Absolutely December! -- But, I wouldn't go in July with the crowds and heat if it were FREE so maybe take my vote with a grain of salt....

We went early December of 2004 and it was wonderful! Low crowds, low humidity and gorgeous Christmas decorations! If you've never been in December, you should try it for sure...you'll love it!

The only advantage to July is that it's only 11 months away and the December trip is 15 months away!

Hmmm. . . I would love all the days at Disney. But I've never been in December, and am dying to see it all dressed up for Christmas (and cooler and less lines!!!) So I'd go in December :)

December!!!
Sometimes more (July in this case) is not better, it's just more.
More heat...
More crowds/lines...
More heat...
More storms...
More heat...
More cranky family members...
More heat...

I would pick july, the parks are open longer, the weather may be hot but there are many things to cool you off.

I totally agree, it was the amount of days that we would get to visit that is the factor really bugging me.

Since the majority rules, I will probably go with December. It is a wonderful time. I have been with just DH and think my DD's need to see it too.

As for it being a bit further off, well we really don't mind. New stuff to see, Expedition Everest is one. New souvenirs in the shops since the Happiest celebration will be over.

DID I JUST CONVINCE MYSELF?

hands down Dec..you can do as much if not more in those days casue you won't be fighting crowds and heat. we love it that time of year
