I’ve stayed at both POFQ and Pop as adult only trips. My decision is usually made based on the price difference at the time and the rate per night. Never stayed at Swan/Dolphin. I’d weigh the price difference vs. amenities you care about/would use. For example, I view them as all equal when it comes to dining because we could care less about a lounge option and none of the TS restaurants at Swan/Dolphin are high on our lists. In contrast, indoor hallways, especially in Dec or Jan, are a plus for me because I have been there several times when it’s shockingly cold, so that’s something I’d judge worthy of paying a bit more. Be sure to include parking costs into your mat since you said you would have car. When traveling with my partner, we spend very, very little time in the room, which edges me towards Pop because why spend more than needed. But sometimes when I travel solo, I want to hang out in the room or at the resort more, so then I might opt for a nicer place.
Basically, I’m suggesting you look at the price vs what you get and will use. It’s easy to suggest the nicer places because they tend to be nicer, but if all the nicer doesn’t matter to you, then maybe saving money is a better choice.
