Hello, everyone. I am made my ADR's and realized I have one too many. Which one of these would you drop, and why? Our boys are 12 and 16. We are on the dining plan, so cost is not a factor in the decision, I realize CA grill takes 2. Thanks! :goodvibes

Crystal Palace - 8:05 am breakfast, park opens at 9 pm.
Whispering Canyon Cafe - lunch on a MNSSHP day, I always wanted to see WL.
California Grill - 9 pm - Wishes is at 9 pm
Garden Grill - dinner reservation - during F&W, boys love Living with the Land.

I personally would drop Garden Grill just because I would love the other three.

Whispering cafe is my vote.Though it seems fun and maybe better than Crystal Palace there was nothing better than walking down an almost empty main street before rope drop.We did that last feb and got some awesome photos of my daughter and grandsons skipping down main street.

Cali Grill..

DO NOT DROP CP!!! thats a perfect time.. and your boys I'm sure will love the pooh puffs.. :)

from what I was told about Cali Grill at that time is good luck on actually getting a table timely..

Thanks! I was looking forward to going in pre-opening to the park. We'll have to remember to try the Pooh puffs!

Cali Grill did concern me with the time - my husband and the boys tend to get "hangry" if we eat too late! :)

I would let go of Garden Grill. You already have a character meal, yes different characters but the food isn't that great. If they love the land ride you may want to look into doing the Behind the seeds tour.

Good to know, all of these are new to us with the exception of the Crystal Palace, we have eaten there several years ago. :)

I agree.. the food is just okay at this place. My wife enjoys it because it spins and the two squirrels are funny but other than that its not all that..

i would rather do Via Napoli instead :)

California Grill - I would maybe do a late lunch or use a snack credit to tie them over between lunch and dinner but I wouldn't drop California Grill. My son is 16 and it was his top request when I asked him where he wanted to eat at for our upcoming stay. Since the reservation is for 9pm and the fireworks are at 9 I would ask if you can go on up a little early to view the fireworks before ordering

One of the reasons we booked California Grill is that we won't be in the park that day and my family loves the fireworks. I understand California Grill probably offers the best fireworks viewing since you are on top of the hotel. Our plan was to arrive at about 8:45 and go out on the platform to view the fireworks, then come back in to be seated. I have heard that they are very accommodating during the show, since most guests will want to step out to the viewing areas.

Garden Grill seems to be getting the most recommendations for dropping. We are also doing Cape May & Liberty Tree tavern, but those are non negotiable.

from what I gathered with the Cali Grill is with it being so late and at fireworks time you will probably not get a table because everyone from like 7:30 will be taking their sweet time eating and delaying so they have their table for the firework show.. So you might be 10pm before you eat..

It was suggested to me if you want the fireworks show is to hit the landing deck on the 4th floor for the fireworks and possible eat elsewhere, like the Wave.

in the end we cancelled the idea all together and opted for eating around our usual early feeding time then hit the resort pool for the night like we always do :)

I would drop Garden Grill. As of our last trip (returned home 10/3) it's not turning, and just being around the restaurant at dinner looked stressful. There seemed to be long waits to get to your table and it looked chaotic.

Agree with Garden Grill. There are just TOO many amazing restaurants in Epcot, in my opinion! Their quick service options are delicious :)
