We are planning on arriving at 7am at Allstar Music checking in and getting ours tickets etc...from what I have read on a post that a CM told them when making AR's that MGM will have EMH a.m. that day, Oct 4. Should we do:

1) check in, get tickets and head over to MGM for EMH. Stay at MGM for 2 hrs and then head over to MK (to me the castle says we are at WDW and the kids want to see it soon) then have lunch at MK and go back to resort to check out room and take a nap (we will be driving all nite, switching between me and DH) then go to the boardwalk for dinner at ESPN Club.

OR

2) check in, get tickets and go over to MK for the opening, hang out, ride etc.. eat lunch and the go back to resort for nap and then to boardwalk for dinner at ESPN Club.

Can you get to Boardwalk from AllstarMusic by bus or do we need to drive our car?

I think you (and your kids) already answered the question. MK is your first stop - because it says you "are at WDW".

We always make MK the first and last park...everything else is just a great bonus.

Can't say about the bus to the Boardwalk. Have fun!

Definitely go the MK, it will make you all feel like you're really there ::MickeyMo

There is no direct bus to the Boardwalk from the ASMu, so you're probably better off driving, since WDW transportation would get kinda complicated with switching buses and everything.

I would vote for plan 2 ....not as much running around for the first day and the magic of the MK :goodvibes

If you don't want to take the car, I think the best way to get from Allstar Music to Boardwalk would be to catch the bus to EPCOT then get the boat to the Boardwalk Inn..That would take close to an hour in travel - not too bad going, but it could be a problem coming home...

Have Fun!

I'd go with your second plan and just start at MK. Transportation from MK to MGM is not terribly convenient since you'll have to bus from MGM to TTC and then take either a monorail or ferry to MK. It's much easier to just skip MGM that morning and just start at MK. It'll save you a lot of hassle and you'll get to stary your day seeing the castle.
