Alamo Full Size or Premium... It's a difference of $80
I got a full size for $118, and the Premium for $200
anyone seen the "aisles" lately??
2 adults and a child.. probably only 3 or 4 bags
Is the premium that much of a step up?

Two adults and a child? I'd go with a full-size. You should have no problem fitting 3 or 4 bags in the trunk and if a child will be the only one sitting in the back, a full-size should be plenty large for your needs.

We always choose the cheapest option we can get away with, it's just a temporary car! We have rented an economy with 5 people before,if that's the budget....(it was a tight fit lol) usually we just get the compact car since it's usually the cheapest and fits 5 people. ANd it's mostly just short rides from airport or between parks for Disney.... If we have to drive cross country in a rental we usually get a midsize....

I would agree, go with the cheapest option as you will only be using it for a short period. With 2 adults and a child you will have more than enough room in a full size car.

A lot of the time you will find that the difference between the 2 vehicle classes can just be the option package of a vehicle. For example, when I was down in Florida a couple of years ago with my DD, we had booked a full size and picked a Dodge Charger from the Aisle (a base model but nicely appointed). We also noticed several Dodge Charger RT's on the premium aisle. We were very happy with the base model as it was well equipped anyway (ac, power seats/locks/windows, backup camera, satellite radio). We also noticed some Buick LaCrosse and Chev Impala LTZs as well as a couple of Nissan Maxima's on the Premium aisle.
Personally not worth the extra for us.
You have to note that Premium is NOT luxury class. If you are hoping for something really high end like a Cadi or a Lexus, you're probably not going to find it in the Premium aisle.
If you want a full size vehicle with all the bells and whistles, book the premium.
(although I should note that we have been allowed to pick from the Premium or SUV aisles on occasion with Alamo when the full size aisle was depleted)

I'm with the cheapest option. 2 Adults, 1 child and 3-4 bags could fit in an economy car. The bags will only be with you to & from the resort. Put 2 in the trunk, maybe 3 and the rest in the back seat. This of course assumes you are flying in and renting and no one is football or basketball player sized!!! My co-worker calls me creatively frugal so I would never book anything larger than absolutely necessary.
