Which will be less crowded ~ March or June??

Thinking about a trip for next year. Because of the kids (DS 6 and DD4), we have to go during their school breaks.


Which of the following times do you think would be less crowded???

March 13 - 19 OR June 5 - 11

I know that the weather will be nicer in March but I'm more concerned about the crowds.....

Any advice, experience or suggestions would be appreciated!!

Kinda a toss up...March has nicer weather but the spring break/Easter crowds will be there and June is hotter with some of the kids out of school crowds....I think I would do March if it was me...

If you can go early in June, much of the East Coast is still in school.

I would go in March. We usually go in early November. This trip, my kids wanted to go, so we went in mid-June. I will NEVER go in the summer again! You are going to have crowds either time, but I would rather much deal with that than the heat and humidity of June, too.

March is considered peak season as this is spring break time. Peak Season: 2/12 - 4/17


So, not only will you have more crowds for Spring Break, but you will also be paying a higher rate. We have some friends that went this March and said it was not bad at all. They went the first week of March.

We, too, were thinking of going next June 5-10 - I was hoping the crowds wouldn't be too terrible because it's early in June?? Our Spring Break is early next year - March 5-13. Would this be a better time or is everyone's Spring Break early next year because of Easter??

The first week in June is quite doable. Yes, it's hot, but nothing like July. And as already suggested, it's much less expensive.
