I really love a good Chardonnay, but I'm not sure that's right with turkey or that everyone will enjoy it.

Any great suggestions?

Thanks,
Edie

Thankgiving has so many different flavors and dishes, I don't think many people will say one wine pairs up better.
Myself, I go with a Shiraz.
If your keen on white, might I suggest a Brute or semi dry champagne?

Wish I could, but I can't drink red wines. It's just a migraine looking for a place to happen.

Anybody else?

We will be having Prosecco tomorrow, and I think I'm also bringing a bottle of Torrontes

A good South African Chenin Blanc might work nicely with Thanksgiving!

You could try a Rosemount Estates Traminer Riesling from SW Australia. I really like their wines.

Yup - a Reisling. We've also used Guwertzimeiner (sp?), but it's rather sweet.

I think we're having bubbly, as we now belong to the Domain Chandon Wine Club & we'll get another shipment before Christmas (gotta drink it!)

I like Hogue Late Harvest Riesling or St. Supery Moscato. A little bit of sweetness and the Hogue is usually around $8.00 so its a good deal.

I just had an Australian wine called New Age, it is similar to a Riesling but slightly less sweet-a bit more crisp. I really liked it. I am planning on getting some for tomorrow.

I like Viognier. It is a little more floral then chardonnay and holds up well to the full flavors of teh turkey and sides. You can find them from California and France.

I'm taking a spiced apple wine to thanksgiving dinner at my parents' tomorrow. I bought it at a local winery, and I really like it.

I usually drink Rieslings -- chardonny is just way too dry for me.

My mom will probably have her trusty box of white zinfandel or white merlot. We all like the boxed wine :woohoo:

Sauvignon blanc. I'm surprised there are so many riesling recs, I've only ever had that served with dessert.
