We haven't been to Disney since 12/01. It was a GREAT time of year for us - no crowds at all (they let us ride some of the rides 4-5-6 times in a row, without even making us get off). I am trying to eliminate the need for a full 5 days out of school, and also trying to really minimize the crowds. I also want to be able to do one of the water parks, so I need warm weather. I have it narrowed down to these two weeks: Ocober 1-9 or November 5-13. I have read the Unofficial Guide to WDW 2005 and it has a day by day breakdown of crowds. The book shows absolutley no difference between the weeks, crowd-wise. However, Nov. 11 is Veteran's Day. Does anyone know if Veteran's Day really would increase the crowds? I was surprised that the book showed no spike in attendance for that weekend.

Thanks!

Hi Wetts1,

Just a reminder: when you went in December 2001 it was three months after the terrorist attacks and travel in general and specifically to WDW was extremely low. Whether you go in October or November this year there is a good chance the parks will be a lot more crowded than the last time you went.

Having said that, if crowds and the water parks are your main concerns, I'd also vote for October!

Good luck,

Bob

We're going Oct 3-9 and are hoping for lower crowds. I thought that it might be to cold to go swimming in November. I like it really warm for swimming. princess: princess:

Also keep in mind that you will be there Columbus Day weekend which also increases the crowd level. :)

Also, the dreaded Jersey week is Nov.5-12 and Siper Soap Weekend is the 12-13th. :earsboy:

Thanks everyone! I don't think Columbus Day would really bother me. We'd be flying home on the Sunday, and as for Saturday, we could just use that day to hang out by the pool and skip the parks. What about Hurricane season, though? Would early October still be a potential problem?
