Well in looking at my DVC Planning guide that lists the various seasons/pricing for 2005, Christmas week was the highest so obvioulsy the most crowded, the weeks around President's Day were "Magic" so one level behind Christmas, and Thanksgiving was only Magic on Wed-Fri of Thanksgiving week and was Choice (second best season for crowds and pricing) on the Sat-Tue before Thanksgiving and then again on the weekend after Thanksgiving. So if thats not too confusing, I would say that it looks like Thanksgiving wins with the highest crowds only being there part of the week and the rest of the time looking pretty manageable. I would definitely think Christmas and Presidents (given that Mardi Gras is the same time) would almost be a tie. But, they would both have longer hours and at Christmas the decorations would be up. We just did Christmas/New Years week and were pleasantly surprised at all we could get done. We took advantage of the late night EMH's, staying until 4:00 a.m. one night. Walk on's the last three hours for the most part. If it were me however, all things considered, I would pick Thanksgiving. Holiday decorations are up, the weather would be nicer, the crowds seem to be there only for part of the week and what a nice way to kick off the holiday season for your family! Good luck with whatever you decide.
