Hi Everyone! I couldn't find a clear answer to this, so I wanted all of your opinions. I have one day at Universal, 6/4. My main focus is all of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I will be there at park opening that day.

Here's the question: Do you think it's better to go to Hogsmead or Diagon Alley first? Realistically I'll be there park open to close, if that makes a difference too. :)

Hogsmead in IOA, as long as you have early entry capabilities. As of right now, Early entry hours aren't posted for June, and IOA is the default early entry park unless otherwise specified.

If you don't get in an hour early, start wherever you'd like...although, there are more rides on the IOA side....

Are you staying onsite? Need to know if you will have Early Entry or not.

If you are staying on property & get into one of them an hour early, do that one. If you aren't I would start with the other & get as much done as you can before heading over. Both area seem to get a little easier at night, but make sure you see Diagon Alley in the day & at night.

I am not staying on site, so no early entry. I had to find a cheap offsite hotel for the week.

June 4 is a Sunday

Usually that is a decent day to hit the parks

Peeps leave on a Sunday to return home
And those that arrive in Orlando to begin their vacation don't always head the parks for partial days

Hope op gets lucky and finds she can do both parks and cover all of pottervilles with out long waits

There is a chance she could

Op st the two main Potter restaurants, breakfast is stopped at 11:00 daily

Lunch menu begins at 10:30

I find this time period where the eateries are not crowded

Not fond of the breakfast and l do the lunch menu during this switch over time

Since my DD and I are huge HP geeks :) we had to do it just like HP!

Thanks for all of the advice! Last time I was at Diagon alley was less than 2 weeks after it opened, so it was nuts. I'm hoping to just take a little more time to explore this time. :)
