I will be at the MK on 1/14 and want to go to the GF for dinner.
Which mode of transportation will be the quickest?
Monorail
Bus
Boat - also consider the walk from ramp to main building

Thanks

boat

There is no bus from MK to the GF and the monorail will have to go to the Contemporary and stop and the TTC and stop and the Polynesian and stop before getting to the GF. The boat goes right to the GF.

Aloha

Unless the boat is pulling away from the dock as you get there . . . :rotfl2:

just don't get on the wrong boat :goodvibes

just read the signs :earseek:

Thanks for the info Tikiman.

Any idea how long the boat ride is from MK to GF? I want to make sure we get there in plenty of time.
Thanks again.

The boat ride is about 5 minutes. I think the monorail might be faster because you get dropped off right at the main building (guess it depends on where you are eating). The monrails run more often that the boats. Either way, it shouldn't take you more than 15 minutes either way (unless as mentioned the boat just pulled away).

I don’t know how many boats they run during that time of the year because in the summer there are 3 boats going and many times one is waiting to come in when the other one is still loading at the MK. If the boat is there it is not much more than 5 minutes to get to the GF. The monorail ride around and at all the stops is much longer than 15 minutes. Remember it has 3 stops before the GF and it has to load and unload at each stop.

I agree, the boat is by far the fastest way to get to GF. The monorail has those three stops and it seems to sit at each stop for a while before departing to the next stop.

Take the boat.

I can sit at the dock and still beat a monorail that left 10 minutes before me. :earsboy: Oh, and normally there are 2 boats running, each making 3 trips/hr, which means they should be about 10 minutes apart.
