Which way do we go George? Which way do we go?

OMG - another stop in Atlanta?! No pizza for you!!!
At least you aren't driving through.....
Tempting to run to the airport to give you a hug....but then I would have to drive through Atlanta traffic....
Virtual hug!

I'm here and you got my attention with the Shemar Moore picture... Mmmmmmm, he's some serious eye candy!!! :thumbsup2

Good Luck with airfares... I priced them to MCO and they are 3 to 4 times more expensive than they usually are!!! Yikes!!! :scared1: Looks like we'll be staying home over spring break... :sad1:

Not sure exactly where in MN you live, but is driving to Chicago and flying from there totally out of the question? RT for the 3 of you is $860 total...wow! Out of Milwaukee is $1083, both on Southwest. And no baggage fees. Plus, you can take ME to your resort and then rent a car from the TTC and also drop off on your way back cutting down on car rental. I'm in the planning mode right now because we have some friends wanting to come down for part of our stay and I'm trying every which way to get the lowest fare.

Hey I made page 2 so that is not sooo bad. Some day hopefully I will be number 1 - I guess I am just not worthy:worship:.

Anyway MollyMcDaniel you mentioned something about renting a car from the TTC? How do you do that? We always fly into MCO for our Disney trips, use ME and then rent a car to drive to West Palm to visit with family on the way home and fly out from there. We usually fudge a little and give a fake :scared1: flight home to get ME to the airport so we can rent a car on check out day. I need to know this info pleaseeee ;) so I can go legit!

Keep the updates coming - I am leaving for West Palm on Sunday so I know I will have lots to check up on when I come back!

Maybe I should start charging...or paying you for reading! LOL ;)

Or you could just go ahead and write a book fo heaven's sake. I'll buy the first copy!

And no, no pictures of me on spring break, so you'll have to use your imagination. Just picture a short, drunk rodeo clown. In a tanktini.

Looking forward to the next trip!

Love the Pic of yummy Shemar, I remember him from way back when he was on Y and R.

Tell me again what you are doing these conversions for? I for the life of me cannot remember!

It's for one of my core Hospitality classes. It's an Intro to Foods, but we have a 3 hour lab once a week where we cook something. The recipes we use come straight from our textbook and usually are for larger portions, so we just have to convert them down to what we need. It's not hard, just time-consuming when you have 3 different recipes you have to do it for. Tomorrow's lab will be breaded chicken fingers, deep fried bananas, and stuffed tomatoes.

Hopping on to see how this one goes, love the last one so far. Heck it's Disney how can it be anything but great, you could definitely do a book you already have a fan base.

I will absolutely let you know if we are going through Atlanta again....:lovestruc
Woo hoo another TR!

KIM
It's a trip report with no idea yet how we are getting there!
I'm here and you got my attention with the Shemar Moore picture... Mmmmmmm, he's some serious eye candy!!! :thumbsup2
I wonder if he intoduces himelf as, "Hi, I am Shemar Mmmmmmmmmoore." :lmao:

It is a sad thing my friend. We will drive as the last resort. Planning on buying on Tuesday when prices drop back down after the weekend increase.
Anyway MollyMcDaniel you mentioned something about renting a car from the TTC? How do you do that? I looked on Priceline and you can rent a car from there looking for their name your own price. Just look up the car care center address and insert it instead of an airport. I also scanned MouseSavers for some discount codes and got it as cheap as the name your own price. You can double up coupons with Alamo.

Or you could just go ahead and write a book fo heaven's sake. I'll buy the first copy!
I know...I really think about doing it and then just chicken out.
And no, no pictures of me on spring break, so you'll have to use your imagination. Just picture a short, drunk rodeo clown. In a tanktini.
Uhhhhh....is a tanktini 1/2 of a two piece you lost after drinking a martini??? :lmao:
Looking forward to the next trip!

Love the Pic of yummy Shemar, I remember him from way back when he was on Y and R.
Me too and Carsyn and I almost duked it out because she thought he was in his 20's and I knew him from Y&R as well. So Mrs. I am going to prove I am right went and researched and then said, "gross..he is old..." when she found out he indeed is no spring chicken! :rotfl2:
It's for one of my core Hospitality classes.
Aha! That explains it!!
Hopping on to see how this one goes, love the last one so far. Heck it's Disney how can it be anything but great, you could definitely do a book you already have a fan base.
Thanks for the support and I hope this trip is a good one as well.

So I just had Baylor get all his shorts and trunks and try them on. He loves shopping but hates trying on clothes he has to see if they fit.

Well for once he did not put up much of a fight and when he started to say, "Maaaammmmm, they will all fit. Stop worrying so much," I told him to shut it and try them on. So he did and guess what? :confused3

I am totally right. :thumbsup2 :snooty: He is just shy of 6' tall now and only 2 shorts fit that I think Treyner left here. One swimsuit and that is on the border of too short as well.

He is lifting and running and is built muscular and looked like an overgrown boy scout in all his shorts that came up to mid thigh. Then there was a plaid pair that made him look like a grandpa in Miami. :teacher:

He is fine on t-shirts but need a pair of sandals and 5-6 pair of shorts not to mention running/athletic shorts now. He and Treyner wear the same size shorts so the days of finding hand me downs is over. :sad1:

So we are off to Plato's Closet this weekend and some great consignment stores that I hope are starting to carry summer stuff!!! We usually have pretty good luck. Carsyn has not even started looking at what she has to pack for Jamaica.

We will be gone before she is so I will need her to be totally packed before we go!

We plan on getting plane tickets this Tuesday. Prices for airlines always go up on Friday and back down on Tuesday. Not sure if we will fly into ATL, JAX or MCO. The times of the flights are just as crucial as the days. Dan can fly free into MCO on Tues the 8th of March so that would be ideal if Baylor and I can get a night flight for less than a million dollars. Have a car on hold through Alamo for 6 days already through Disney Car Care Center.

What drives me batty is that you can see a flight that is available on certain departure days, depending on your arrival day. Then they are sometimes available only as a one way! WTheck? Why do they care when you arrive or leave? Why do they not worry the most about filling seats??? DRIVES ME NUTS!!! pirate:

Thanks Dawn for the car rental info :cutie: now I am off to look for Alamo coupons! Good luck clothes shopping I am not looking forward to that with my girls this summer :scared1:

1. Rent a car
If you are staying at a Disney resort, the easiest option is to rent a car from the Walt Disney World Car Care Center, which is operated by Alamo and National. The Car Care Center offers a shuttle that will pick you up from any Disney hotel and take you to the Center to pick up your car. The shuttle will also drop you off at your Disney hotel after you return your car. If you wish, call the Car Care Center up to 24 hours in advance and arrange for them to send a shuttle for you. Alternatively, go to the front desk of your Disney resort about 30 minutes before your pickup time and ask them to call the Car Care Center shuttle. The phone number of the Car Care Center is (407) 824-3470.

Another location is at the Dolphin Hotel. From any of the theme parks or Downtown Disney, take a Disney bus to the Dolphin. The Alamo/National office at the Dolphin keeps short hours, but you can drop off your car to the hotel's valets after hours. The phone number of Dolphin's Alamo/National desk is (407) 934-4930.

Short swim trunks are in in Hollywood. :) I however, am NOT a fan. Walmarts in FL have great ones too on the cheap!

I'm subbing. I love your PTR's and TR's. They are awesome. :goodvibes

If my memory serves me, it was Baylor who had the accident some time back. I'm hoping that he's made a full recovery now and I was thinking about him last Halloween....I believe that was when it happened...on Halloween. :(

I can't wait to read more about your adventure!!!

Wooo Hooo! Another PTR! I can't wait to hear more about your trip -- especially the Keys portion. Pictures from your previous Keys stay has prompted my DD to BEG for a Florida Keys trip for her 13th birthday, which isn't until March 2012. I'm considering it....

Anyway, looking forward to more PTR, and hoping that the flights work out well for you.

I made it over from your TR :goodvibes
If you do fly into Atlanta those of us in the area should meet up with you for an airport DIS meet. A GROUP PIC UNDER THE DINOSAUR:lmao:
Really, I hope you do get to fly down to Orlando. We make the drive down 75 every trip (remind me to tell the naked trucker story sometime ;))so it's no big deal to us but I would hate to fly into ATL just to have to get into a car and drive 8 more hours. Yuck!

Thinking about you and your family today:hug:

Well folks...

We have another u-turn in our plans. :scared1:

BUT...we have plans. :thumbsup2

We have a flight. :cool1:

Yes...

A FLIGHT. :sad2:

Singular.

UNO.

One person flying. :snooty:

One way.

I might tear up a bit. :sad1:

I might just feel like I have lost the last of my attention span.

I do not want to scan flying websites again. :surfweb:

Or at least for a few weeks. :lmao:

Here is the dealio. :teacher:

Treyner is playing in a tournament in Anderson April 1st weekend. This will be his debut at Anderson as a goalie since he was just a Freshman eligibility last fall. It will be fabulous to see and it will give Carsyn a chance to scope out dorms to make a final decision about where to stay. (She is debating having a single room or roommate due to a medical issue. Problem is the single dorms available is in an upperclassmen dorm only.)

So that means another road trip, not long after we get back from Florida. It also means missing school again for Baylor so we need to make sure he only misses a few days for Florida.

Flights for him shortening the trip are sky high out of MCO. Flying in and out of JAX for us was okay but only if the trip is exactly 2 weeks and Baylor cannot be gone that long. We looked at all the other options of flights in and out and the cost just kept creeping up and up. :faint:

We have the wedding coming up, Carsyn's graduation party coming up, and we need to redo the fence in the back yard pronto so the dogs have a place to go without being able to go under or over.

Crunching numbers for what we need in short order meant something had to go.

So bye bye airlines tickets!!! :wave2:

Then...we debated Key West. :hyper2:

Driving 24 hours each way and adding on another 14 round trip is suicide when you have only 2 drivers. It was one thing when we had Carsyn, Treyner and Taylor with to help. You always had someone to stay awake and someone to drive. We took turns always having someone sleep.

Or if we were flying into MCO. Then the drive is a snap.

We are already shortening the length of the trip by driving and I did not feel like spending another day just in the car, wasting away precious hours we could be having fun.

So...

Here is the new itinerary.

No joke.

For real this time.

Hotels booked and everything.

Monday March 7th - Dan and I leave MN. Stay overnight in TN after driving 12 hours.

Tuesday March 8th - Drive onward to WDW. Check in @ POFQ.

Wednesday March 9th - Pool day for Dan and I. Baylor flies in from MN at 4:40 p.m. and arrives at @ 10:05 p.m. (This means he is only missing Th/Fr of school.)

Thursday March 10th - Tuesday March 15th WDW

Wed. March 16th - Friday March 18th - Stay in Clearwater/Tampa area, rent a pontoon for a day on the ocean, visit Caledesi Island, typical beach stuff!

Sat March 19th Head back to MN - stop in ATL - do Coke Museum if time allows, head to TN for overnight stay again.

Sun. March 20th - Leave TN for 12 hour drive home.

Then...March 30th - leave again for SC...another 40 hours but Carsyn can help drive!!!

I am going to leave that for now. Need to go get new dinner ressies, change some ressies and put my head in a bucket!

Whew your plans.... At least they are final now and you know what you are doing! I need to buy stock in an oil company before these trips... where do you prefer to fill up? :rolleyes1

My goodness - I'm sure that looks worse in print than in person. :rotfl2:

Whichever way it goes, you'll make sure it's entertaining, and that's what counts! ;)
