Which way around / through Jax?

Heading south on I-95 early tomorrow morning, and wondering whether to take I-295 around and west of Jacksonville, or Hwy 9A(?) to the east and around Jax. Anyone have some advice?

We usually go right straight through on 95. Going around is a lot longer distance wise, and it really isn't any faster, it feels like it takes forever. Traffic moves pretty good through there on 95 as long as there are no accidents.

I agree with the suggestion to go straight through on I-95. Unless there is a big wreck, traffic will not be a problem using I-95.

For heavens sake--do NOT take 95 through Jacksonville!! It's an awful stretch of road.
We always take 295 around--a bit longer, but well worth the peace of mind.
